It sounds like dreaming if it only happens while the pup is asleep. All dogs do it to a degree. My fully grown dog growls and barks in her sleep...only very quietly and with her mouth closed. Ask the vet when you take her in for her shots.
If there are any symptoms while the dog is awake that make you think it isn't just dreaming you should take it to the vet.

when is the last time your puppy ate? Check her gums if they appear white you MUST give her some sort of sugar, don't matter keep her warm and she should stop shaking.. puppies that young if the do not eat ever 4 hours they go into hypoglycemic shock.. when they fall into that, they get cold, shake , pass out, even have seizures.. i am hoping everything is okay with her ..just a note go out and get some nutri-cal and give that to her at least 4 times a day ... crossing my fingers for you ..

Mine does the same thing and he's a little chihuahua. Sounds like she's just dreaming. Don't worry unless it seems as if she's convulsing like having some sort of seizure or something. If you think it's more than just a little dream, take her to the vet. Good luck.

Odds are she's dreaming--my lab's legs move like he's running and he barks and whines in his sleep (he's 15and has been doing it since he was 6 weeks old!), but if in doubt-take her to the vet.

i have 2 dogs - ironically 1 is a german shepherd & the other is a lab.both of them quite often do this in their sleep - i'm pretty sure that they are just dreaming - not to worry no harm has ever come to them as a result of this.just dont disturb her when this is happening - you could startle her & scare her.

There's a 99.9% chance that she's dreaming. My dog does it all the time. She's dreaming of running or chasing something. Don't worry, it's as normal as eating.

puppies' nervous systems are still working out all the connections while they're asleep--we always say that they're "chasing rabbits" when they twitch in their sleep. they grow out of it
