We are so meaningless that we have to believe that we serve a purpose so much greater. We create a God out of nothing then defy him. I ask you, how sane are we here in this lonely planet.

Religion IS a fraud. And the world hasn't ended yet.

Remember something: your believing that something is true does not automatically make it true (no matter how clever you think your little theory is).

Religion only means a method of belief.
Every one has something they believe in.
Some believe in themselves and others believe in an outside source. To say that Religion is a fake is to say that people have no belief in any thing. Even an Atheist has a belief, a belief that life is strictly physical.
To say that people have created a god then defy him is to not understand what a person is even talking about.
Life, as we know it, started somehow. To think that man created life is to show how ignorant a person is about how things start.
Even if you believe in evolution, it shows you recognize that there is a beginning other then man.
Each person has their own feeling on how to belief in things.
Some believe in supreme creation, others believe in a physical start to life.

Hello friend,
If I may answer primarily from opinion, I'd like to point out what seems like the obvious answer.

As a Christian, I simply live my life in a way that harms no one. I live by the Godly principals I find in God's Book.

Sure, I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and I have an assurance of Life Everlasting in Heaven.

But suppose you were right. Let's say at the end of it all, I was wrong. At death, I'll close my eyes in peace knowing I have tried to treat others the way God wanted me to.

No matter what kind or manner of death I may suffer, if your scenario was correct, I'd just be dead and that's all. Still in my mind, I'd have peace knowing I lived like I believed God would have wanted me to live.

And that kind of life and then death would not be a wasted one.

But... what if I'm right? (and I am)
What if there really is a God who revealed Himself to us in the Person of Jesus Christ and you've chosen to ignore and disbelieve what He said in His Word?

Then at your death, you would find that after closing your eyes here for the last time, you would immediately open them again at His Judgment Seat only to be face to face with Him Whom you have denied.

Then friend, all your best guesses, all your worldly intellect and quest for sanity would leave you spiritually bankrupt before God Almighty, and your destiny is absolutely sealed at that point, and it's not Heaven.

What if you're right? I go to peaceful sleep to nothingness.

What if I'm right? All that Hell is and even more that you can not imagine waits for you. And it's no party there where you rock on for Eternity with Joplin, Morrison, Crowley, Lavey, Stalin, Hitler and others who publicly denied Christ.

No friend, I am not making a judgment as to who's in Hell, God's Book says you'll know a tree by it's fruit. Those above, had plain enough fruit that even you could see what they believed and Whom they denied.

Friend, if this life is meaningless to you, all you need is a Savior.
I know Him personally and am willing to help you with any real Bible questions you have, if you're willing to learn about Him.

Don't despair, He cares for you.

God is very real. Its a shame if you dont know him or his love for you. Its truly sad. My mother-in-law was near death last week.....the doctor said he did not expect her to live through the night....my family and several churches started a prayer chain.....and she not only is alive...she is talking, opening her eyes and focusing on people, and trying to move her arms and legs. She had a blood clot that burst in her brain after a routine surgery....the doctor said he had never seen anyone live through an MRI that looked like hers. God is real...please believe that. When people cannot explain things....God is the one to thank. Miracles do happen...and I truly believe in that. There is no other explanation. God bless you...please come to know him, youll be so glad you did when he answers a prayer for you in the way he did for me. I thank him every day for simply giving me another day to live here on Earth with my kids and my family.

What do you mean "if"?

Ok, but seriously for your question ... yes ... in fact I believe strongly we'd be better off. Rather than wasting our life hoping for a better place after we die, we'd be forced to recognize that we needed to make the most of what we have in the here and now.

They say necessity is the mother of invention.
