I have know this guy for 5 years and he does not get it the I like him. Will I mess up every thing if I tell him that I like him and that we should try dating.

First look at your relationship. If you see it that he thinks you think of him as a brother then he might think that your flirty-ness is just a sister messing around. Don't just tell him flat out! Be creative. My boyfriend and i had that same problem. So i started slipping him secret admirer crap adn then wen he asked me wut i thought i said write back and put it were you found yours. so he did. I gave him clues on who i was in each note and when he figured it out he loved it. Dont get too mushy though just short sweet notes!

Some guys are really dense. I was kinda that way so I know.
OK, go through things. Does he enjoy your company? Does he seem to care about you? Does he ask about school/job? Do you have things in common? Is he nice? Does he laugh? Does he make you laugh? Is he kind to animals?
These are all indicative of what kind of person he is and whether or not he may be interested in you. And, yes, sometimes you have to take the bull by the horns. That's what my wife of 35 years had to do with me. Really, what can you lose? If he's interested, great. If he's not interested, now you know and you can get on with your life.

well the first thing you should do is to maybe write or buy some little love letters to drop hints to let him know that you have a seceret admirer or just be extra nice too him when you see him again but use tact and finess and just let him know by using your body language and just let him know that your willing to be there for his times of ups and downs and some support too and volunteer when he says" Gosh i sure could use some help doin this or help doing that or what ever the case maybe!! or maybe he is seeking some xtra company at night or would like some one to go to the movies with or go bowling or shoot pool or swimming with it could be anything! so just watch for the signs and keep your eyes peeled and most of all good luck! peace!!

the datin part is not askin its suggestin and he might not want to do that. put in more clues to let him know. like flirt more and compliment him on stuff or see if he wants to watch a movie with you at your house or go see one. or go to a fast food restaraunt and hang for a while. if he doesnt get it buy then then yes tell him but dont blow it out like" yea i really like you. lets go out". no dont do that. just calmly as you guys are walking together alone or something like that tell him your true feelings. if he doesnt want to go out or start dating then just stay friends. if it wasnt meant to be then dont rush into anything. or email him or write him a note. but deliver the note to him personally. dont let someone do it for you. they might read it or tell other people if you wanna keep it a secret. so follow this advice and then see what happens.

You don't have to tell him, showing is sufficient. The way you treat him, the way you hold his hand, your smile and attentiveness. Guys usually decide when to date a girl. Leave him alone, don't say anything. Maybe he does not want to date yo , and only sees you as a friend, and not a girlfriend.

if he does not get it then he is not on the same wavelength as yourself.if your flirting and all he sees is a friend then you shouldnt but on the other hand if he does respond positive then its worth a shot
