are always available and easy to get or hard to get?
My friend and I are in a huge debate over this issue. I say to have a lasting relationship you have to play a little hard to get. She says if there is chemistry it doesn't matter.
However, whenever I have pursued a guy and/or been too available he doesn't stick around as much as he does when there is a challenge.
Truth be told, I hate playing games, but it seems like you have to sometimes.

I think I may not be totally clear.
So, the question is
1. Do men prefer the easy to get woman who is always available? OR
2. The lady who is a little mysterious and hard to get.
And lets say their is chemistry between you and the woman.

I would break this into two kinds of "hard to get" ("HTG") First there is HTG sexually. Then there is hard to get as far as time and attention. I will address these separately:
HTG sexually:
Playing a little HTG sexually can be good, if done in the right way. You should never throw yourself at a man. If you just met him and you go all the way on the first date, he WILL lose interest. The trick is to not throw yourself at him all at once, yet still make him feel like he is getting a little bit more each time you are together. Maybe make out for the first hookup. Then a little touching in the "baithing suit region" on the second hookup. Some oral for the third hookup, and the whole shebang for the fourth hookup.
Note: if you have been just friends for a while and then the two of you start pursuing a physical relationship with each other, he will not hold it against you if you jump right in the sack. You can think of the earlier friendship as lots of dates without sex.
HTG with time and attention:
You should never play HTG with your time and attention. If you do it early on, he may think you are not interested; and he may move on to someone else even though he was interested in you. After you have started going out, he may get turned off if you are unavailable or do not show him enough attention (he may think you are "high maintainance" or a "pain in the a$$"). When he wants to go out, try to be available, and when you are together, let him know you are into him.
BUT (and this is a big but) try not to be the one initiating the contact. Try not to call him, but if he calls - be there for him. If you call/text him too much, he will feel like you are smothering you. In sum, to drive him wild: give him time and attention when he intitiates contact and wants to be around you, but try not to be the one who intiates the contact too often.

I had a potential girlfriend who told me after our only date that she wanted to see me again. She gave very positive signs. I called alot and she never responded. Eventually she did, and told me the guy si suppose to pursue the girl. I told her no one, including her is worth 7 calls with no reply. I would never humiliate myself like that nor give her the thrill.
I am 41. I believe the older you get the more honest you can be. Guys who reject women who are available are still into the conquering thing and want the challenge. OKAY, I am alittle in that still, but I think I need some positive feedback to keep my interest there.
You can't always put the carrot in front of the guy and pull it back when he gets close. IF you want to play that game, the guy has to get a bite or taste every now and then and you'll have hm begging, then you won't want him. :)

It depends on the guy. However, you needn't be particularly mysterious. But if you're way too available and pushy, he will think you're some kind of psycho or something. Just try not to smother him and I think that would be enough. He may also be frustrated and confused if you play hard to get. It is really no fun to have to wonder if you're getting anywhere with someone, at least IMHO. You think "Am I wasting my time?" when someone plays hard to get too much.

The easy and available women can be found on a street corner charging $50 for sexual favors, always like a woman to be mysterious.....that's what make the connection more meaningful and keep the intrigue factor high.

Its not playing games or hard to get thingy. Its being urself.
Most ppl mistaken and hv mixed these two.
Nothing more attractive than a woman with complete self.
When u get attached, u still want to hang out with ur female frenz, enjoy ur hobbies. Not like u throw ur own lifestyle away and worship ur man.
For ex: You love dance class and u attend that regularly. Just bcoz a cute guy asked u out for dinner at that time, u sacrifice ur class. Just politely say u got dance class and how about other time (arrange the time pls, dont let it hangin)
Man can sense that when u playing games or truthfully independent woman. :)
+ Give ur body to the one who willing to spend life with u in marriage regardless all ur weaknesses (even u done it before in the past). Honour ur body and u'll get a honourable man.

Depends on what the goal is. If the goal is sex, then men prefer a woman who is easy to get and who has no agenda beyond the night. If the goal is long term relationship, then men greatly prefer a woman who is hard to get. If you're too easy for him, he'll assume that you're just as easy for other guys -- and no man wants that in a gf.

I think a man, well myself and my friends, do not respect a woman who is easy to get into bed with as much as a woman who, not plays hard to get, but has more respect for herself than to jump into bed with you straight away. Don't play games, men hate that and it only feeds into the stereotype that women are controlling with men. Sleep with a man when it feels right to you not any other time, if he is a decent man he will wait until your ready and respect you for saying no. Just tell the man your not ready and judge his reactions then.

It depends on the woman-if a woman plays hard to get,the challenge is to see how far you will go to achieve your goal. If a woman is too easy-there is no fun unless she is very hot and sexy. I love a challenge when I have to pursue a goal.

Definitely number 2. A lot of fun and pleasure is in the chase for the rabbit. If all things in life were easy then we would all be very bored.
