I use a combination of products.. but you don't need a lot, so they will cost a little when you buy them but they will last forever..apply all products to towel dried hair but don't let it air dry too much.. products spread better in wet hair so you need less

First, buy a good moisturizing shampoo.. I use Redken Allsoft or Bed Head moisture maniac.. curly hair is dry and dry hair is frizzy so you need moisture.

Next.. buy a leave in conditioner.. I use Paul Mitchell Awaphui Moisture Mist.. its a spray in.. and you can use it on your skin too.. spray it everywhere except up at your roots.

Then use a mousse.. I'm currently using Paul Mitchell Sculpting Foam.. use just a little (less than a hand full) and flip your head over and run it thru the middle and ends of your hair

Then use a curl cream.. The ones I like best are Biolage Curl Defining Cream and Paul Mitchell Round Trip.. they never leave your hair crunchy.

Put all these products in in this order and flip your head over and scrunch.. now don't touch your hair until its almost dry.. then flip it over again and mess it up at the roots with your fingers and scrunch it a little more at the ends.. this will keep it from looking flat.

The purpose of using all three products is this

Leave in conditioner - curly hair needs moisture.. this will add extra to help eliminate frizz

Mousse - helps hold your style all day

Curl Cream - helps define your natural curl

Buy your products in a salon that offers a 7 day money back gaurantee.. that way you can return them if you don't like them.. and they will direct you to something else that might work. They will help you find what you need because once you get it right, you'll be back.

I use a really strong gel. Strong being like the super duper extra strength hold gel. I also use some hair spray when its a little more than half dry. I forget the brand I use but its on a rectangular shaped bottle and its a bubble yellow color.

I am in LOVE with John Frieda Dream Curls. It makes your curls perfect and they are not crunchy or sticky!!! You can use it on either wet or dry hair. You only have to apply it to your hair once and it lasts all day long!!! You can find it at grocery stores and most drugs stores. I get it at CVS. I think it's like 6-8$ depending on where you get it.

Tigi's Curls Rock Curl Amplifier. Even if you only have a little wave, it will make it look like you have massive curl! I love this stuff!
