I am in my mid 20's and started getting this thobbing pain in my mouth where my wisdom teeth are. My wisdom teeth stopped coming up in my late teens. They broke the skin a little a bit, but not much. The top of my gums where my wisdom teeth are is really soft does this mean their trying to come up again and brea through the gums?

No, they aren't trying to come out. There's no room in pur modern skulls for all those teeth that our primitive relatives needed to survive.

But we still get the teeth! If they hurt that much, there's a good possibility that they have decayed or even abscessed under that soft gum tissue.

Sorry to tell you this, but you're more than likely going to need to have them all pulled. Happens to just about everyone.

If you are getting throbbing pains, you need to see a dentist They are probably trying to break through, but have not been able to. Wisdom teeth tend to grow in crooked and everything else. You may want to also make sure there is no infection

I went through the exact same process in my early to mid twenties. My wisdom teeth were trying to erupt and were unable to do so (impacted). The solution was to get them removed. You need to see a dentist.

In the meantime, find some headache POWDER such as "Goody's". Dab it directly on the affected areas. I found this to bring considerable relief in the time until they were removed.

Good luck!

Sounds like you need to see your dentist. Most people are in need of having the wisdom teeth removed as there just isnt room for them.

Sounds like they are infected. That is why they are tender and throbbing. You need to go to the dentist and get an antibiotic and pain reliever. When the infection is gone, you will need to go to an oral surgeon and have them removed. For help before you get to the dentist either call them and they will phone in a prescription for you or take some advil and anbesol. I hope you feel better.

They probably are impacted which means coming in side ways.

Sounds that way. I chewed on hard candy, it hurts but it worked.
