Not the bands that cover the brakets but the rubber bands that are attached from top to bottom.

I have braces too and I know exactly what you are talking about. I'm wearing them now, I have never swallowed one before but if you did it on accident (I know that happens), then it should just pass through your system because of how tiny they are. If you swallowed more than one, then I would ask your dentist.

I had braces for four years and I swallowed numerous rubber bands, and I am still alive and never had a problem.

They should pass through your system without trouble.

Accidently swallowing them won't hurt you at all. They will simply pass through your system undigested. Do not worry!

if you are talking about the ones that keep you from opening your mouth really wide than as long as you dont swallow them everytime, you should probley be fine, just tell your Dr. that they keep falling off when you go!!!!!!!!!!

It won't hurt you. If it could they wouldn't put them in your mouth what with everybody suing everbody these days. Know what I mean?

if u wanna get sick go 4 it but don't get sick i wouldn't like u 2 get sick Ive never had braces but i don't think its harm full if u can put it in your mouth

Probably not a good idea....
I would say if you can help it, don't do it.
You don't want to get them stuck somewhere along your GI tract.

It is not advised, but they should not cause problems if you swallow them.
