what is up with thier head gear it looks like a cheff hat?

We had to change our uniforms from regular green camo to the sand brown camo. You do not blend in green. Maybe they do not feel a need to blend.

I'm baffled by that myself. I watched the news today and they had clips of a comando raid. Even the comando's didn't have on camo.
I got out of the NG in about 82 and we had just gotten camo uniforms. The marines had them at least 6 years before that. Sometimes I think we forget. We really do have the best trained and best equipped military in the world.
I saw a special on Soviet troops back about the same time. Some of their front line units didn't even have socks to wear. They were wrapping their feet in flour sacks before they put on their boots.
We just assume others have what we have but thats simply not the case.

Hey, what ever works, works, You don't need camo when you have your enemy on the run all the time. Question should be, why doesn't Hezbollah wear any kind of uniform and quit hiding behind the civilians of Lebanon?

I am assuming that is so they can blend in with the terrain.... The Hezbollah's army all dress like civilians.... When they are killed they are counted as civilians... That's why they are saying so many civilians are killed...!!!!Go figure....Just like the Iraqi insurgents. and Afghan rebels. Garbage...
