If you are a Christian and cant find a man at church, I don't think He would be against you going to a Christian web site to meet a good Christian man.

I don't see anything wrong with it....BUT....most online dating services do not deal with spiritual compatibility and that is the number ONE most important thing for any Christian.
They might have a place for you to mark what denomination you are, but that is usually all the further it goes.
So, my advice is to make sure that you ask the questions they didn't put in the profile. Just because someone says they belong to a certain denomination or church doesn't mean that they really believe what the Bible teaches.
I've been doing biblical counseling online for 8 1/2 years now and I can tell you that the biggest problems in Christian marriages are caused by spiritual incompatibility. The people were so caught up in what our society says is most important in a mate and they never even checked the other person's beliefs. Just because they say they are a Christian, doesn't mean they define that the same way you do. And if they don't, it will mean trouble down the line. Guaranteed.
If God is the most important thing in your life (as He should be in any Christian's life), then that should be the FIRST question you ask a potential dating partner/spouse. That is what everything has to revolve around so make sure it's the same.
You don't want to be unequally yoked. That makes for a miserable marriage.

Girl, you have a problem. You can listen to all of these nut cases telling what god thinks. If I were you, I'd ask him myself. I asked years ago, never got an answer. The reason? There has never been a god, ever. The bible has some great stories, if you're into death, destruction and general mayhem. Finding the right person is hard enough, the more barriers you set up for yourself, the harder it will be. Don't let one of 20,000 different religions tell you what they think that god thinks. Do what you want. Find Mr. Right. You'll know him when you meet him.

Yes, where you meet someone is not what makes it wrong . Society may look down on online dating as for losers, but what society thinks is not reflective of what God thinks. From a moral standpoint, not in terms of looking cool, why would there be anything wrong with online dating?

Do you think he would care- I think your presumption is online dating is something bad- it shows a lack of confidence on your part- Unless you can show a connection between dating and God- I say go for it. Better yet join a group/activity, speak to people and you may just find someone as they say right under your nose- peace

"and yea, God spake unto Adam 'it is not good that he is alone. Lo, I shall bestow unto ye, my holiest of computers, with cupid.com set as the startpage. And yea, find thee a mate, for verily I say unto thee, the internaet shall inherit the earht'"
and Adam logged onto the LORD's holy website, and lo, began browsing. And behold! A perfect helper with the screen name EveFromYourRib7620 became a perfect match. For verily, she had a great quantity of similar interests as Adam, whom God named AdamThaMan54. And lo, she spoke like honey ona keyboard, and appeared 40 times more beautiful in her picture than in real life, but the LORD spake unto adam once more"
her personality is great! Thus sayeth the LORD," amen

yes totally. my bf and i are currently in an "online" relationship even tho i dont consider it that. but, if he makes one person for the other, and they find the other, he wont oppose. in the bible, one verse says that what god has created for two people shall not be destroyed by any person or something like that lol.
