Think of it as a compliment . Your wife is very comfortable with you and herself. The level of trust she associates with your relationship has no boundaries. If you are not cool with bathroom buddy time, let her know in no uncertain terms. But don't expect her to change overnight. When in need of total privacy simply lock the door. The up side is even if your wife is not able to squelch this annoying habit it speaks to her lack of inhibition. She's open and digging you which can be a major plus in other areas like the bedroom. Count your blessings and make 'em count.

That's kind of odd, I say that because I would think that guys would be more likely to not care and the woman barging in (by accident) would flip out and apologize. I guess she thinks it is part of the intimacy of marriage...yours mine and ours kind of thing. Just tell her or ask her to knock first, if you don't care at other times when you are using the bathroom. It may require a serious talk if she doesn't understand, but probably she just doesn't know it bugs you and will stop once she is aware. You could also stop using the air freshener, or up your cabbage intake so she won't WANT to go in there when you are on the toilet. If she still doesn't give you privacy, simply lock the door and start looking at deeper respect issues in your marriage.

Insist that she doesn't.
I have very few "rules". But I grew up in a small house of 7 people with only one bathroom. Unless you were out in the barn or in the woods or something the only privacy you ever got was in the bathroom. One of my "rules" is that you absolutely cannot go into the bathroom when I am in there unless I invite you (we have a second one anyway). Just a hangup of mine. If someone does come in there, I crab big time.
Everybody should be allowed a couple of "rules" and a few times when they are permitted absolute privacy. You should be entitled to it if you want to be left alone. Only way you'll get it is to insist on it.

Maybe she is giving you some sort of sign. I do this to my parents and my brothers when they use my bathroom. I walk right on in and say, "Oops, this is my bathroom, so I was just used to not needing to knock." They get the message, sometimes. However, this probably hasn't helped you very much. Maybe your wife just wants to see you. I don't know!

Uh that's gross. I never go into the bathroom when my man is pooping, nor do I want to. We're both very private bathroom users. I can say or do almost ANYTHING in front of him, but pooing and peeing are no no's. Your wife probably just assumes that you guys can share anything. Just tell her that when you're dumpin', it's your private time and you'd like to be left alone. Or.. lock the door.

Come on dude, it's toilet chat. Don'ttell me you haven't been exposed to girls growing up and always all of them going in the restroom at the same time.
Be happy she thinks of you as that close of a friend. That's a good thing.

Have you ever heard of the old adage that : "The Honeymoon is Over." Welll that's what it is. That's when anything goes. She's use to you and anything you do doesn't bother her at all. Just live with it , unless you want to trade her in on woman that doesn't do that. Let's face it you're married for life.

Oh now see, that's just not right. A man has to have at least one place he can go to have a little peace and quiet (relative). Ask her politely to give you some space and just lock the door.

its common for a woman to have a thing for the smell of her husband's poop. She desires it on an unconscious level, which is why she is attracted to the bathroom everytime you are in it.

Well, I don't - I know what it smells like after the fact, I do not want to be exposed to the actual event!!! Next time you are having a real stinker caller her in and ask her a question.
