Bose is NOT high end.
Would you trust a company that spends more on research and development? Or one that spends more on engineering and research?
Here's a little hint...NONE of the respected audio publications or retailers (respectable leaves out Best Buy, Circuit City, Walmart, Kmart, and Sears) mentions Bose.

I've bought two Bose products. Their Quiet Zone Headphones (for airline travel) and their IPOD speaker system. Both of these products are amazing and I would strongly recommend them.
The IPOD speakers fill my large office with rich full sound (great base). The Headphones eliminate jet fatigue and I arrive at my destination feeling great.
Bose makes a good quality product well worth the money.

fools! Bose may "sound good" to the average shmoo but they seriously lack true musical impact. The top end Bose speaker is mid fi at best.

fooled by all of the Bose advertising.
They are overpriced, and not as good as many other brands.
They have just built a name for their products, people who know speakers know that Bose blows.

...demonstrating that they have acquired their knowledge of audio equipment at Best Buy or a mall.
If you read any reviews on the web, you'll discover brands like B&W, for example. If you want to know what real high end is, check this out: http://www.bwspeakers.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/products.models/label/Model%20Nautilus
