If she is in that much pain she may having problems with infection she sounds like she needs to go to the ER ASAP. I would recommend you find a different dentist also and a good lawyer. Tell the dentist if that he doesn't believe in antibiotics and painkillers because all he cares about is the F*****ng bill for his services but he is not delivering the care needed in this case.ALSO patient care is not about of what the doctor believes in,but what the patient needs most for his/her health.GET A GOOD LAWYER THIS IS MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE THAT CAN LEAD TO SEPTIC SHOCK IF NOT TREATED PROPERLY.

Call another dentist within your family or try your family doctor, they should call in some pain meds and antibiotics, then the infection will go away and they can do a root canal or remove the tooth. Some cities do have emergency dentist that you can visit after hours. And if she is in that much pain, all other options not working, go to the ER- then call a dentist in the morning. A NEW DENTIST

Im sure you have heard this a hundred times, go to a different dentist. In the meantime, get an icepack, use 800 of Ibuprofen every 4 hours, make sure she eats or drinks milk with it so it doesnt upset her stomach. I had an abscess about 3 wks ago and it was horribly painful. Trust me, narcotic pain meds dont help that much anyways, ibuprofen is the choosen pain reliever of tooth pain. If her mouth is really swollen and she has a high temp, take her to the ER immediatly because the infection could get into her bloodstream. Good luck.

Must have been the same one that my son saw yrs ago. Get to a different dentist, she should have had antibiotics to get rid of the infection first before pulling the tooth. This could turn into something very serious because infections can enter the bloodstream very easily through the mouth. Don't wait, get her to another dentist quickly.

An abscess is serious and needs to be treated immediately. Untreated, it could stem to cardio problems! Your wife needs antibiotics NOW! I would find ANOTHER dentist immediately! She may even need to go to an Urgent Care or the ER if there is nothing available this weekend, but there are some dentists open on Saturdays. Call 1 800 DENTIST now! In the meantime, have her take Tylenol and even try Orajel to help with the pain. Good luck!!!

Hmm. It sounds like this dentist might even have a restriction on his drug license. If he is under 90 years old, I just can't imagine anyone in modern practice saying that they don't believe in antibiotics...
It's time to see another dentist. For all we know over here on Yahoo!, there might still be some pieces of tooth left in there.

Definitely find a new dentist and see what you can do about getting the quack's license pulled. Doesn't believe in antibiotics?! Are you sure this guy even HAS a license to begin with?!
Until she gets real treatment, have her rinse with warm salt water. That should help a bit, at least.
