It still has a bit high mileage, even for around town.

It all depends on who owned it prior to you looking at it. It could be sweet lil old lady drive it to church type. Or could be racer DAN that floors it all over the place. Best bet is to test drive it, low and higher speeds. Also, look at the motor, try to look for oil stains, wetness, and such. Also look under the car if possible, for wet spots, other than the A/C drain, which is a little bit of water. Also look over the body carefully. Any signs of color changes in paint etc. Is quite detailed, but, Just hate to see others ripped, like I had gotten, with an unclaimed accident. CARFAX isn't 100% on that stuff either. Just take your time, and ask alot of questions that your not sure about on it. Besides, they seem to be alright cars.

Depends on the price, but I'd say it would be alright since it still has below 100,000 miles for an 8 year old car

i think i would go with something newer, even if you are just going to be driving it around town. I recently purchased a used car, and i went into it thinking that i wanted something no older than a 2001. I ended up with a 2003 pontiac grand am....and it's wonderful...got a great deal on it, too. at any rate..i would shop around and read up on used cars....www.edmunds.com gives great reviews about cars and locates them in your area....

if it has been maintained properly, it should be a great car. if your not sure, have a mechanic to check it over before you purchase it.
