Yes, it would free up police resources and prison cells for real criminals. Shorter sentences for all criminals is a result of prison overcrowding. It's too bad that some people would rather let rapists and murderers out early in order to make room for people who do things like smoke marijauna.

Yes, I would support legalization. Why they ask? Because if the beer drinkers and hard liquer drinkers can get their pleasure after a hard day of work, why shouldn't I be allowed to sit down and smoke a doobie in my own livingroom after a hard day?
And pot does not make all people stupid. I know some people who have actually come up with some good ideas while buzzed and made money from those ideas. Some people become exceptionally creative. I have never seen anybody act crazy like the idiots in "reefer madness" That was government propaganda. Former New York Mayor LaGuardia sponsored a study on MJ and came to the conclusion of no harmful mental side affects, and very few physical side affects. In fact the physical side affects were less detrimental than those of alcohol.
But, people will believe what they want to believe, whether the facts support them or not. As in the case of alcohol. Report after report and study after study shows how harmful alcohol is to the body, yet it can be purchased by anyone at anytime almost everywhere.

Ok so wait ur actually asking this question... If u didnt know marijuana slows down your reaction time and reflexes by considerable amounts. Driving after having done marijuana is 200 times more dangerous than driving while drunk or Slightly Tipsy. Most of my 15-16 year old friends are drinking already and getting tipsy. If marijuana was legalized you would have a crisis where 15-16 year olds would be able to get their hands on the stuff. Then all of our future leaders will be former potheads.

Full legalization of cannabis needs to be a seriously debated issue in Congress and on the airwaves of America. The War on Some Drugs costs more and harms more than the drugs themselves. Restrictions comparable to those of alcohol ought to be in place as well, and the taxes from cannabis sales should go towards education and rehabilitation resources for the public. And yes, I do enjoy a bowl or two occasionally; what does that tell you about users? Maybe we're not the "stupid stoners" as we are stereotyped by DEA/DARE propaganda..

Yes, if I had a chance to show support for that legislation, I would.
The feds will treat this law in HI (if it passes) the same as they've treated every medical mj law that has passed at the state level - they'll conduct their own raids, whereas the local and state police will be faced with having to bear the burden of the feds failing to enforce laws where they actually have jurisdiction (i.e. immigration.)

Totally dude. If you're not hurting anyone else you should be able to do whatever the hell you want, especially with an indigenous freaking plant that I could walk around the woods for an hour and have enough for a couple joints.

Kids, this is your brain on pot. This is why you shouldn't do it.
No, I would not support a law that perpetuates the degeneration of neurons. I hope that marijuana is at least spelled correctly in the bill...

No, but I do think it should be legalized for medicinal purposes. I had a friend who was paralyzed from the hips down, and no legal medication would help the constant pain, but one toke of a joint would ease it enough to make it bearable. She would do that and no more. Eventually she overdosed on pain pills. We'll never know if it was accidental or on purpose.

Well, if your grammar is any hint as to what it would do, then no.
It would do terrible harm to this country. It changes people. (I know, it changed my best friend). It is addictive (to your eventual response: yeah, who spends $50+ on a substance that isn't addictive). It has long term effects.
EDIT: And that whole, it lets rapists out of prison bit: build more prisons.
And screw safe access. Poison all the drugs. We're better off without the drugees.

A very old friend of mine, a retired cop , from a large city told me once that he had never been to a family fight , bar room brawl or other violent scene because someone was smoking grass.... yes I would support the law.... alot of places overlook it and it doesn't seem to cause any problems
