Well, poor memory huh..
Scientists suggest if you constantly stimulate your brain, you will make your hippocampus neuron's more branching and your dentrite or axon will have more synaptosomes and eventually have more plasticity.
I would suggest you to the following things:
1. Repetition/Practice make perfect.
2. Start your practice from daily life.
such as : try to remember what you did yesterday at 5:00pm
3. Practice Sudoko to enhance your concentration
4. Try to learn more than one language.
5. Try use left hand on small thing if you are right-handed.
(practice left hand on writing or something that can stimulate your brain)

Poor memory can be caused by lots of things. Lack of sleep, medications, trauma etc etc. If its a long standing problem then you need to find ways to deal with it. If its a new thing you need to go see your doctor.

You just have a small brain with a small memory capacity. Its like a computer with a small hard drive thats filled to capacity, to store new information you first have to erase current information which disappears and becomes irretrievable. Too bad you cant buy a bigger brain like you can a hard drive.

I believe your mind is on over load. Sometimes when you have a lot to think about your brain does not work right. Once you try to relax and finally realize we have very little control of what goes on around us, you will start remembering things like before.

you may have poor memory because you watch too much tv or play too much video games which lowers your attention span and therefore do not observe things as well
