Several things immediately come to mind:
1) You can't make ANY girl fall for you. Some will fall for you, but the majority will not. So you USUALLY have to date many girls to find one that's worth any trouble.
2) You must avoid talking too much, especially on the phone. The phone is a tool of necessity. These days, you must have the phone number to start a relationship. So, you'll have to gather as many phone numbers from eligible girls as possible. Use it only for making dates. Do NOT give her your entire life story in one sitting.
3) Girls do not change their first impressions of men easily. So, you have to make a good first impression. It helps to dress well, work out, smell good, and be well-groomed.
4) Think of every possible question a girl might ask you about yourself and your life. Then, make up a very funny answer to use when that question arises.
5) Do not give gifts until about 3 months into the relationship.
6) This should go without saying, but never lie to the girl and never put up with any BS from her. If she does not respect you, drop her and move on.

That should get you started. Good luck!

I have found it is completely up to the girl and you can be kind and loving but the girl still has to fall for you and she can have you fall for her, but it takes an awful lot for her to fall for you.

You are a poet. Write her poetry (but not everyday), do something romantic (but not everyday) do something really cool and then wait a little bit to make her want more.

I had a guy once overwhelm me with romance and it bothered me tremendously. I have had guys treat me like cr@p, and it really bothered me. But the guys who treated me sweet and special and then would give me space until I called back or at least had time to let the sweetness sink in, well, those are the best guys.

I told my sons that and 2 of them listened and they have had many girls fall for them. They are creative and do really creative things for them. Like one made a small photo album of a date they had and wrapped it in red foil paper with gold hearts all over it. The other took old tile and hammered out her name then took a piece of wood and glued the tile in pieces on it with her name in the middle. My youngest is like you, a poet. He is still discovering his art. His girlfriends are a little deep like the two of you, not light hearted. So, it's harder to get them to fall in love since they are cynics. Well, that's all I have to say about that.
