No you should do it while waving a toy gun around wildly. Then while in jail, you can insist that the state pay for that sex change you always wanted.

There are a couple things that can happen, all bad. There is in fact in most states a public offense with a name that in Iowa is something like "disturbing the peace." (My son-in-law just told me in Texas it's called "terroristic threat" and says it was called that before 9/11, and says it will get you a quick trip to jail.)
That means doing something really stupid, which a reasonable person would know would frighten people, and thus would not do. If your state has such a law, you will be arrested, cuffed, and taken off to jail for some serious thinking time.
Or, you might get shot by a trigger-happy skin-head security employee with a Glock. That isn't as bad as it sounds, because the Glock is notorious at not killing anyone. (They all use them now, because it bothered the feminists to see female cops with these little toy pistols, while the men had .45 ACP's, that can stop an elephant, but which would break female wrists, so they decreed the men also had to use toy pistols.)
And most security guys can't hit the bank wall without a burst of good luck. Still, there is sometimes a burst of good luck.
However, this might qualify you for the Annual Darwin Award. Your parents would at least have the posthumous trophy as a memento, which is probably more than they will otherwise have, based on your present attitudes.

Grow up!
Allowable or legal or not, you already know it is a stupid thing to do. This is how people make their own luck. What could you possibly gain by wearing the mask into the bank, other than the rush of it? Doing stupid things makes for bad luck.
I suppose next you'll ask if you can play a tape recording of the word Fire in a crowded theatre.

Depends on where you are. Check with the local police department. Some places have laws against masks in public places on days other than Halloween.

I think it would be fun! Maybe a "Dubya" mask, so when the camera's get you on tape, they can use it as publicity stunt!
I can see it now, headlines to read:
"Local nutjob walks calmly into First Federal Screw 'Em All Savings and Loan, Turns Out to be The President"
Or
"Police Shoot The President While Making Deposit"
More news on the possible suicide at 10:00!

How smart do you think it is to wear a Mask into a Bank? It's pretty much a no brainer.

Go ahead. It may not be illegal per se but you will have a very bad day after you do. You could contest your civil rights to do so after but it will be expensive and you will most likely get charged with something. Again, a very bad day.

Do you actually like seeing all the nice officers coming to the bank and screwing guns in your ear, or do you like seeing the customers and bank employee's have a heart attack by your appearance?

Why even take the chance? In this day and time, security would probably shoot first and ask questions later. Not a good idea to try to push some buttons.
