Ok so, unless when i die i find out that i asked to be born don't ignore this question.

You never ask to be born, then you get told you have to work hard to get somewhere in the world, your brought into the world by 2 people who probably didnt want to really get pregnant but because of a drunken night they do, then you appear and untill your about 18, get told what to do by them... . Anywho my thing is you should never have kids unless your loaded and can give them enough money to enjoy life when they get to 18. Fin. x

I agree with that theory. It just doesn't always work out that way. I had two kids and they were both "accidents". But it made me grow up, buckle down, and do what I got to do to give them the world. And all by myself, too. I think I'm doing a darn good job, too, if I do say so myself! I think my case is unique though, just from what I've seen in my friends and in the news. If you're PLANNING a pregnancy, I do think you should be financially stable first. Not everyone thinks about how much money it actually takes to raise a child. I heard the number is somewhere over a million dollars to raise a child in the United States, from conception to the age of 18. And how many people over 18 do you know who still live with their parents? lol

I don't agree with your final sentence. My parents were broke and struggled for every penny and I had to pay my own way through college, but they gave me MUCH love and patience and guidance and respect from the word go. I would never trade that for parents who are loaded and throw a bunch of money at me as a replacement for personal involvement with me. In fairness to your question, though, I get the feeling your parents were not as good to you as mine were or you wouldn't feel this way. If this is the case, then I feel for you and understand why you feel the way you do. If they were good to you and you feel this way anyway just because they're expecting you to pull your share of the load and not financing your life so you can sit around and play with your X-Box, then I hate to tell you, but you're a spoiled brat and will probably never be satisfied with anything in your life.

Why should your parents, have to buy you anything you wish.
A good parent teaches their kids resonsibilities, and that not everything in life will be handed to you. Try earning it, you will respect yourself alot more. And someday when you grow up and have kids of your own, you'll understand the choices your parents made for you. Remember they wont be around forever.
My father died when I was in kindergartden and my mother drank herself to death by the time I was 18. And to spite all that, I still think my childhood was pretty great. And I know my parents loved me. So get off your high horse, and try seeing things through their eyes.

Right on!!! I still think every male should have a mandatory Vasectomy before they hit puberty and once they turn 18, they'll have the choice to get it reversed. That way, no one would have unplanned babies.

i agree as well! parents should be financially, and emotionally ready and have some knowledge of raising another life. it is a full time job that you cannot call in sick, you have to work at all times. very good point.
