Ants are edible to people, so they are probably ok for dogs too. Great source of protein and vitamin C, which are usually found together in one food.

no harm done. Some people eat ants too. My dog eats every kind of insect and has for the last 3 years - no bad affects.

Don't be worried. Ants won't hurt your dog. Your dog is hurting the ants.

My dog loves to eat insects and it doesn't hurt her any. What I worry about is when she chases after yellowjackets and bees. One of these days she'll get stung and then maybe she'll stop doing that!
