Birth control pills work by regulating hormones. Taking a pill after sex is useless.

If you're talking about normal birth control pills, you have to take them on a daily basis to get up to 99% effectiveness. If you take one only the day after you have sex, it's not going to do you any good.
If you're talking about the "morning-after" pill, you may not get pregnant, but it is not as effective as taking birth control pills regularly.
The best thing is to have protected sex--condoms are a good option, and they protect against sexually transmitted diseases, also.
Taking a birth control pill will not MAKE you pregnant--sex does that.
Good luck.

THESE PILLS you have to take them regularly and then they would work (though not 100%).
Once off taking either before or after sex, won't work.
