There is no such thing as a "free" kitten. If you bring a kitten into your home you are responsible for a series of shots, vet exams and the speutering of the animal.
When you adopt from a shelter your adoption fees usually covers these basic expenses and is usually half it would cost you on the vet market.
When you adopt from an irresponsible cat owner who is letting their cat breed you only reward them for their behavior. These people cost our society a lot of tax money and that's coming out of your pocket one way or another.
Get your kitten from a shelter or rescue society.

Free kittens are everywhere, not hard to find, but you have to look during "kitten season." They are not born in the winter, but from Spring to Fall.

a lot of times at the store they'l have free kitties for adoption you just have to keep your eyes open. and look in the newspaper.
