Yes, (BUT READ BOTTOM FIRST) but sometimes if you ask your vet, before doing that, he might tell you no it's not. Only because you don tknow the recommended dosage per lb for your dog, and the Vet doesn't want to advise you a recommneded dosage for your particular product, and then him being wrong, and then sueing you. (in some cases, but some vets, will advise you of reccommended dosages) If you want to take the risk, give him a lower dosage then you think he needs.
Small is anything 20lbs or less. Medium is anything 45 lbs or less, and large is anything bigger than 45 lbs.

That is a list of Doggy asprin, and pain relief, if you dont want to take the risk. If you check the ingredients on the boxes, they are the same as in baby asprin, Dont give a dog anything more than baby aspirin, withough consulting your Vet.

They sell Asprin in poweder, that you can mix with your food, if you go by that dosage, and use baby asprin, and crush it, you will be able to adminster a more stable dosage.

This is still a risk, Just buy the asprin there, it's only 8 dollars or less.

Dogs, need aspirin for Arthritist, and muscle pain, too. A GOOD owner KNOWS when it's dog is in pain.

ALERT!!!! NEVER give your dog or cat Aleve or Tylenol (or like generics). They can be toxic (fatal) to the pet. A baby aspirin might be O.K., but causes stomach/digestive problems in many pets, just as it does in people. May be dangerous if your pet has a bleeding disorder, as aspirin thins the blood. There are many alternative drugs your veterinarian can suggest, that have been tested and are safer to use on a long term basis for pain management.

We had a 70 pound dog that was neutered, he was in a lot of pain, and the vet said to give him one aspirin, and that's all.
On another occasion, we were told to give our cat a half of baby aspirin. You really should ask a vet before giving aspirin to animals because medicines stay in their systems for a very long time.

My vet let me give my dog children's aspirin. She said to never give Tylenol or ibuprofen cause they can't digest it.
My mom's vet also let her give her dog baby aspirin for arthritis.
Do call your vet to make sure it is ok with her, they usually quite nice about talking to you over the phone. You will want to make sure that the problem your dog is having won't be aggravated by the aspirin.

Probably, but just in case, call your vet. I give my dog benedryl which my vet says is fine, but it really just puts him to sleep so he doesn't itch so much, it doesn't solve his allergies. I usually only use it overnight until I can see the vet in the morning. If it's serious, I take the dog to the all night vet hospital. They are expensive, but I have pet insurance. That helps a bit.

NO! Call your vet. What's wrong with you? Why would you try to self treat your dog?

Aspirin, only, for mild pain. Nothing with acetaminophen or ibuprofen.
I repeat, NOTHING with acetaminophen or ibuprofen.
