Most doctors will tell you, in private, most medicines are still good after expiration date. However, they are talking about months, not years. 6 years is a long enough for medicine to decay. I'd suggest NOT taking it.

all medications lose some strength after they are out of date. I wouldn't take hydrocodone or any other medication after six years. If you are having enough pain to take hydrocodone, you should probably see a Dr.

i'll say no.

hydrocodone generally loses efficiency after it's expiration date. though after 6 years i couldn't tell you what happens.

i'd say the best bet is to go to a doctor to treat whatever pain you want treated and ask for more.

that or take 6 motrins. (motrin 800).

Well I have some Lortab that is about 4-5 years old and it still works for me. Still just as potent. I just don't take it that often, just when I need to so a few rx's last me a while.

you can but it wont be as potent as it was before the it expired.... but you have to be pretty desperate to use out of date meds
