I don't know if the weather down there is the same as it has been up here in VA, but your problem may be the water temp. I haven't seen it go below 84 degrees in quite a while, which usually sends the bass into deeper waters. You may find them suspended in weed beds but it will take many casts, and alot of finesse to get them out. Try the coolest part of the morning, usually around 5am or so here, and hit em up with a jitterbug, or your favorite surface lure. The worm is probably your best bet any other time with lures, since it gets you to the bottom where the water is coolest. Just be sure you're not overworking it. Let it hit bottom and then make slight moves with it, nothing more than a quick and small tug at a time, or they'll think it's superworm and they'll leave it be. Never give up, it's the challenge of it all. Once you get it,,,,,,, You Got It! Good luck!

Ahhh - try some mackerel or sardines - I used frozen ones I cut up at lake Powell a while back and caught two seven pounder large mouths, not to mention about 20 stripers. I've caught a few on spinners and lures over the years, but the mackerel and sardines seem to do better for me.

Try making an homemade lure out of an three sided hook, shiny earings, and an couple small weights.

Cast out and reel in slowly.

This has worked for me in the past.

try this, the next time you go fishing for bass use a hollow jig of your choice and put a piece of alka-setzer inside the jig. cast out and once it hits the water the alka-setzer will start to fizz and should attract any kind of fish. this should work when fishing from a boat. fishing from shore try rapala lures

is this creek being affected by the tide changes if so you need to fish during high tide and try to fish around the mouths of the creek as the tide goes out.

There are times when Bass are not present, but you must pay attention to the banks and spot Bass poo poo floating around the edges.

if there are any weed beds along there try a fake frog on top of the weeds and try slowly retrieving in the early morning, and if there is cover try a jitterbug at night.
