I think you need to give yourself a break. Sounds like you're under a little stress with this new job. Making mistakes is expected when you're new. Learn from them and try not to make the same one over again. I also used to work as a receptionist in a medical facility, and I felt like I was being pulled in a million directions. If they are expecting too much work from one person, that can also be why mistakes are being made. you are only human!

I would hope that you realize that you are the new employee and that when in a new place of work there is always going to be things that take time to work out. Please do not be so demanding and critical on yourself. Human beings make mistakes and it is part of who we are. The medical profession is a fast paced career and it does come with some level of stress but do not let it effect you into believing that you have some sort of problem. Take your time, do your job right and feel good about what you do. I'd much rather have someone who took the time have the right information and the correct procedure down pat than have someone be able to do 10 thousand tasks in a day and do them all wrong.
It's only a job ....

Just take your time. Being new in the workplace you will make mistakes, because your new and you don't know how the system work at the new place. Your well knowledgeable about what your doing it is just that the mistakes you make come from how the others do things. You may file to the left and everyone else files to the right, so they are going to say you made a mistake, but you didn't its just you do things different.
Give yourself time you'll be a pro and then you'll be telling everyone else they are doing things wrong. If they say your doing it wrong ask them how to do it right, or how they do things. Being new, you'll almost have to act like your a child and they are the parents, and do everything they say. Thats just untill you figure everything out.

Take a big deep breath, count to ten, stop worrying about everything and just take the time you need to learn your job. Once you learn your job, the mistakes you are making will stop. New employees always make mistakes, but you also learn by your mistakes. If you have a question, ask someone who can help you. The only dumb question, is the one that is never asked. Also, just be yourself and don't try to impress anyone. Do your job to the best of your ability, and if something comes up that you don't understand or are not sure of, ask someone for help in explaining things to you. This will also help you learn more so you won't continue to make mistakes on your new job.

There should always be a "learning curve" at a new job! I've been at the same job for over 7 years, what comes easy to me, does not necessarily come easy to anyone else! That can be easily overlooked by people a lot! Nobody just does everything perfect from the beginning! Do not be so hard on yourself! You're human, everyone makes mistakes! I know, personally, the more I stress about something & think about it so much, the more likely I am to mess up! Just relax & try to have confidence in yourself!

You sound like me whenever I was on a new job I was always so intimidated by everyone and after I was there for a few months I was fine. They had their first days too, just keep that in mind. You will get better and probably be a better employee than them. So tell your self everything is okay and one day it will all fade away. Good Luck. SMILE!

Honey, quit stressing. That is what is causing you to make mistakes. You are focused on the mistakes, not the job. Just relax and learn to enjoy your job. Take one task at a time. Forget the mistakes. Look forward, not backward. Do your best and your skills will improve. You'll be just fine.

if you want to do better then relax. As much as you can, cause i know it can be difficult. if you feel that your mistakes may affect other people, and you are new at your job, then ask for help or advice from your co-workers. It may feel like it would be hard to do or embarassing , but it is better then continuing to make mistakes. But keep working at is, working in a hospital must be hectic, so learning the job must be hectic as well.
good luck

You are new so everything is challenging. Give yourself time to get accustomed to your new duties and you should do fine. Since your boss has not spoken with you about your performance, you are probably not impressing him/her in a negative way. You might go to your boss anyway with your concerns - specifically your desire to do better - and ask for suggestions on improvement.
You are not the only one who has ever felt this way - anytime we make changes our stress naturally increases.

Take it easy on yourself. As you are new, you have to focus on every aspect of your job. Give yourself about six months or so to "gel". Some duties that you carry out will become second nature for you and you can focus on polishing things up better then. If you are concerned, talk to your supervisor and ask her for a performance review.
