The host plant for the Luna moth are white birch if you live in the North. Here are some others for the caterpillars to feed on. Black walnut, butternut, hickory, persimmon, sweet gum, alser, beech, willow, wild cherry and sumac. If you have a pesticide free yard and food plants such as these you should have a chance to attract Luna moths to your yard. Adult Luna's do not eat, they live on stored fat from the larval stage and live a little over a week. Good luck!
