Ok, my grandmother says that the devil will do everything he can to keep you out of church and to keep you from serving the Lord. I told her that I reckon that he's going the extra mile for me. Let me explain: When I was growing up my father (more my father) and my mother were alcoholics and drugatics and we were very poor (didn't have running water, electricity, heat, a bed...). Every Sunday my grandpa would take me to church, but every Sunday during service my stomach would hurt me so bad that I would have to leave sometimes. Then my grandparents got sick and I stopped going. Many people have died in my life, including my dad. To this day, my stomach still hurts every time I go to church. My grandma says that it is because I have a great calling in my life. What do you think? Another thing, do you believe in being prophesied to? I ask this because many different preachers have told me that I will be one when I get older ( I'm 17 now) and one even brought up a dream that I had when I was younger about teaching a sunday school class to little children....I couldn't believe he knew about it because he was a traveling preacher. So, again..do you believe in prophecy?

Why do you think your stomach hurts, nervous maybe. Also if you would like to teach Sunday school it's possible you could do it at 17. Maybe the preacher just sees good quality's in you that would make a good teacher.

Well, first I'll start by saying that Im sorry for all your loses, and that I wish you the best in life because you seem like a nice person. Then, Id like to say that, even if I haven't gone to church for about two years (since my grandmother died...), I belive that it not going to church doesn't mean I have gotten away from God. Try praying at home alone, try going to mass again, confess yourself. Religion seems to be an important factor in your life, and I respect that, but going to church is not the only way of showing your love for God. Do charity, be a good person, show others your evident love for God, even start that sunday school that u dreamed about once. You can try to go into a church whenever you like, it won't move, but remember that Chruch is the home of God, you're permanently invited. And in a less religios note: a chruch is mearly a symbol, a place created by HUMANS so that other people can go there to feel closer to God. If you want to prise God you don't need a temple, you need faith.

May God bless you and your family.

It could be God trying to keep you from this specific church, it doesnt sound as though it was a place you (or your family) was being fed. I take all "prophets" with a grain of salt, there may be some genuine ones but the majority are wannabes. And I have yet to hear any "prophet" NOT say someone has a great calling in their life. Its an easy "prophecy" because then if you don't do something great they can just say you missed your calling.

Judging from what you've written, you have had a lot of negatives in your life. I would attribute the stomach pains to nervousness, and some of the mind games and difficulties you've faced would certainly cause nervousness, tension, and stress.
Forget what people have told you. To become strong in the faith that you seek, go to church or start off with Sunday school only and work your way into full church services. Read the Bible, starting with The Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.
You've made it clear that you WANT Christianity in your life, so do those things, accept Jesus, and pray, and you WILL have Christianity in your life.

Absolutely! you can have a calling in your life. Just don't give up on giving to church because your stomache hurts... pray for it to go away. God knew what you were going to do with your life before you were born, so follow that calling. I'm 16 year old girl here going through some hard times too. Yes, the devil will keep you from following God as much as possible. You're in my prayers. God Bless You!

Yes I do believe in prophecy, its not like its my place to say that all those things that were said about you were true in your case but I do certainly believe prophecy by people from the Holy Spirit. And you say how your stomach would hurt you so bad in church sometimes, were there ever alter calls were you could have gone up for prayer....The devil can only do as much as God allows him too and as much as you give in to his temptation. So I will be praying that you do keep going to church and allow God to do his will in your life.

Yes. I have prophetic dreams about the people in my life and about me. I do share them when I can. The gift of prophesy is real. Those with the gift are lead to you.

You probably need to get into a good bible study with people your own age or a mixed group that has people your own age. It will be very enlightening. There are many things you still do not understand because you lack the knoweldge. Please remember that we are sad at the loss of love ones because the loss is ours, not theirs. We still want to see them and be with them. They are in a better place and are enjoying the glory of God. We will meet with them one day.

I lost my mother, my sister and two borthers all very close in time. For a while it looked like none of us would make it for any length of time! I learned to endure even thoug my sister was my best friend and one of m brothers was my most favorite person in the world! I was hurt with each passing and I have since learned, through constant reading and research-that my sorrow has turned to gladness for they conquered death by passing.

You probably do have a calling on your life. I can not say if it's related to your pain. I believe your pain is the result of not having the faith to believe that God's will and His plan for our lives is all that really matters and that He would not bring you this far to let you fall. Seek Him. Study Him. Have faith and believe God will do every thing He has promised. His ways are not ours nor does He look at things or people as we do. Run the race, you are a winner in Christ.

ya i totally believe in prophecy! i've had all the prophecies come true in my life! I even had a prophecy to correct me when i misunderstood another prophecy!
It's very probably the devil is keeping you from your calling. I used to have the very same problem, with the upset stomach during church, and if you ask a pastor, or even your grandma to pray over you for your stomach, i'm sure you'll be fine! You could even pray over yourself! the bible says that by Jesus' wounds we are healed, and that we authority over every thing in this world, even pain, and if we tell it to leave, in Jesus, name, it will, because that's what the bible says!

You have been through much grief in your life and sounds like you have had no counseling for it. Believe it or not, with all you've suffered from, prayng to God will not take your hurt away. You need grief therapy as well praying on a daily basis and hanging around very positive happy people who are supportive and non-judgmental. Your child years were stolen from you and you went from being born to on your own and you missed a lot of steps children are supposed to go through to be appropriately balanced and happy. When we miss certain steps, that impairs our abilities in lots of other areas our peers function well in. I believe God is a loving God and that He has much more power than the devil if you live a Christian life. And God understands how much you've been hurt and is patient with you. Sounds like your stomach aches are a result of much stress and hurt, and you need therapy. To achieve what God wants you to achieve, you need to be healthy to do it. Seek counseling and then you can certainly answer your calling to be a prophetic preacher. Best of luck to you, and God will take care of you!

I believe in prophecy...Prophecy is the gift of hearing from God, Jesus, another spiritual being. I believe that God speaks to people in this day and age. I don't believe that God stopped speaking after Revelations. One of the best things a true follower of Jesus can do is to hear from God fresh everyday.

I also believe that you don't need to be in a church to be a Christian or to serve the Lord. (Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands. Act 7:48)
