Currently I am working 2 jobs and just can't seem to pay what bills I have (they aren't that great maybe 1,200 a month). The price of gas is sucking me dry and getting to work is an hour drive. (I live in God's arm pit) SO I have to drive. I am just wondering if there is help out there other than sucking the welfare system or asking parents for help. I pretty much have exausted them for funds as well. Thanks

First...I own my own home..
Second..I am not 18. I haven't had a roommate in 20 years.
Third..Carpool LOL, I live in God's armpit..everyone works out of town and we all work different shifts.
Fourth..During the school year I work full time as an educator. Summers are bad because they do not pay the same as an educator.
Thanks for your answers, just thought I would clear up a few choices.
OH..sell my blood...I'm anemic..they won't take it.

Hon, I too am in a simlar boat. I have to sell my family's old things for things we need on EBAY. I make anywhere from $200 to $1000 extra a month. It is tough work, and you have to make the time, but you can do it too. (Get a store it is cheaper than listing items!) Good luck, Hon!

Hey--
I was in my early 20s and a single parent when i went through the same thing. I finally got up the nerve to ask my parents if i could move back in with them...they excepted. But, i had a plan 1. look into buying a house of my own 2. paying off the bills that i could 3. getting myself right, whether it be socially, emotionally, ect. I really don't know what your situation is, but i hope this helps.

The problem isn't that you can't pay your bills, the problem is that you don't have a strict budget to follow by. There are many people that know how to manage money wisely. Ask them to help you set up a budget and stick to it. You will see your bills disappear as you pay them off. With 2 jobs and around $1,200 a month in bills, this will not take you long at all to pay those bills in a timely manner.

First cut out unnecessary expenses (such as cable, no more Starbucks, brown bag it to work) Then see if you can car pool with someone to work. Can you take in a roommate? Plan your trips wisely so you are driving less miles. Is there anything you can sell in a garage sell or on eBay? Start looking for better paying jobs. These gas prices are not going down... only up.
