According to this site the Braun blender is best rated and crushes ice especially good.
I have seen the Waring Pro blender in many bars and it works especially good at crushing ice. Maybe more expensive than the Braun but should last longer.

RE:
What is the best, must durable blender available?
I am on a diet the requires me to use my blender with ice at least 5 times a day. I have been on the diet 8 months and have blown out 3 blenders including a Waring, Kitchen Aid, Back to Basics. I need to buy a new one, but I want it to be industrial strength. Which one should I buy?

No matter which blender you choose, you were right suggesting it should be industrial strength. You need to get one that is what they call a professional chef model that has a better more powerful motor in it. Alot of restaurants can tell you what kind they use and where to get them.
I personally have had good luck with my Oster, but like I said, the better grades are more expensive and not the cheap Oster you get at Wal Mart or Big Lots on sale. Try going to the chefs websites for serious cookers and see the difference in professional quality compared with the ones the public has to buy in regular stores. J.C. Penneys has a chefs catalog that has professional grade blenders in it. I am surprised that the Kitchen Aid didn't last, but you may have just gotten the cheap version, not that any of them are cheap anymore! Look for the horsepower on the motor, the more horsepower the more it will handle crushing ice. Also look for stainless steel and glass instead of anything that has alot of plastic on it. I hope this helps and good luck!

That'd be Vita-Mix. It's guaranteed for 7 years. It will cost you $400. It's what they use in bars and smoothie shops. It's a very good blender. I used to make smoothies for my son with frozen strawberries and I could throw in a few baby carrots. The blender made the carrots invisible so he was happy to drink is vegetables.

I was gonna say oster, they have a heavy duty one they make for bar use, that have plenty of watts, and are pretty indestructable That is what you should look for, get something around, say , 700-750 watts, It should hold up.
