Because that's what it's there for.

Seriously.

It would have helped if you had given us an example, because I'm not sure what you mean. If there IS something a Christian doesn't understand, all he or she has to do is go to the Bible, because it has ALL the answers.

I suspect you were referring to evolution. The Bible has no provision whatsoever for evolution, simply because it's not true. Creation, which is set forth in the Bible, and fits the (unbiased) scientific evidence, is the only logical and true explanation for the question of origins.

You might be interested to know that most of the great scientists who founded the various branches of science (for example, Boyle, Dalton, and Ramsey who were instrumental in founding Chemistry) were Christians. Some others are Newton, Faraday, Maxwell, & Kelvin (Physics); Ray, Linnaeus, Mendel, Pasteur (Biology); Steno, Woodward, Brewster, Buckland, Cuvier (Geology); Copernicus, Galileo, Kepler, Herschel, Maunder (Astronomy); and Pascal, Leibnitz, Euler (Mathematics).

It never ceases to amaze me that unbelievers tell us (Christians) that we (Christians) throw God into the GOD BOX when we don't understand something. The reason it amazes me is because Christians have GOD in a box in a lot of their lives. We (Christians) like to have Him around when we NEED Him but we don't believe He is capable of half what we proclaim. I am sorry that you are proud to be an atheist because pride goes before the fall. If we (Christians) would take God out of His box and put Him to the test (as we are admonished to do in the scriptures) then we would have less things to worry about in this life. We should walk wisely redeeming the time and not be distracted to the left or right by people who ask foolish questions. We are given a voice to speak and a mind to reason with and we choose to make one liners out of our beliefs. We need to be more compassionate because we are called to a world of dying people to minister to their needs and to voice our beliefs. All else is vanity according to the preacher.

If you want to ask any reasonable questions we will try reasonably to answer it. You may help us to increase our faith because of your lack of it. May God Bless you......

As a christian , when I don't understand something, I don't always attribute that to God. It depends by what you mean "everything". Just because us "christians" say something , that doesn't even mean that we agree with each other. As for things that I might not understand, I do sometimes associate that to God. I'll also research it. If I understood God completely, I would be creating "God". He's MUCH bigger than me. And I need him to be. I hope that I helped you a little.

My Christianity gives me quite a lot of understanding that I otherwise would not understand.
Can you give me an example of that which you did not understand and therefore was tossed into the dumpster...oops...Sorry...your thinking box?
I live in the "God " box. Proud of it just as you are of being an Atheist. Tell me what it is that you think I have no understanding of that going to God and my own mind would not reveal to me.
Your assumption that all Christians are stupid by reason of their choice to be what they are is no more respectful of me than it would be for me to infer your stupidity by virtue of your choice to be what you are. On the contrary it was God working within the intelligence that He gifted me with that led me to the evidence which revealed His providence within creation. If your as smart as you wish you was then you would examine the evidence yourself and get off your smug wagon of prejudice against that which you refuse to understand.

i'm an atheist myself, and that i'd desire to declare i do no longer think of that fact is actual. maximum Christians i comprehend ask questions with regard to the actual international, and are not afraid to look at issues with the aid of their very own eyes. That mentioned, it fairly is actual that Christians tend to view the international for the period of the lens of their faith. this is their nicely suited to accomplish that, and that i does not attempt to take that from them. the actuality is that i do no longer understand each thing, so I have no nicely suited attempting to cajole all people to any attitude. All i'd ask in return is that all people who thinks approximately attempting to cajole me comprehend that they do no longer understand each thing the two, no remember what their faith tells them. it fairly is actual that some Christians will "throw issues into the God container," as you place it, yet you could no longer generalize that ingredient. Many non secular Christians stay their lives on functional words, yet in a fashion that meshes thoroughly with their faith. All religions have their radicals (secularists are no longer any distinctive). yet you could no longer frequently say that each physique Christians refuse to acknowledege issues like technology or logic from now on than you could say all Muslims are terrorists. in simple terms as a results of fact some radicals could be like that doesn't make the generalized stereotypes actual.

It's easier to dismiss an issue than to work to find the cause of it. The Christian world revolves around the central belief that there is an all powerful god among us that does things... Why try to find the cause to anything when god is responsible for everything?

It's a function of complacency in ignorance.

That is the very reason humans invented god in the first place. You'd think the box would shrink in time but it has expanded to the size of the universe itself. And still it overflows with "mysteries".

You can throw it into the HELL box when you get there because there is room for one more atheist there. Seriously, why do you think atheism has never taken flight? Possibly because it is believed by idiots?

I completely understand and agree with what you mean. For everything that can't be proven, they always say, "Because the Bible says..." or "Because you have to have FAITH to BELIEVE in God..." or something like that. They don't use any reasoning at all; the core of their religion seems false. Christians are blind, because faith itself is believing blindly. Because they think that God is the cause of everything, the centre of everything, they just accept that everything, whether preposterous or plausible, comes from GOD and is of GOD's will.

This something about Christianity that I truly doubt.
