any sort of processing will be harmful to your hair. I think your main concern here is how long will that damage last. hair does fall a little more then usual after you process it, but it will return to normal "state" if you care for it properly.I have black hair too and I have dyed my hair numerous different colors when I was a teenager. I bleached it, highlight, lowlight, you name it, i have done it. I always deep condition my hair at least twice a week instead of the recommended once a week after i dye my hair. My hair had always look healthy even after i torture it. don't worry, your hair will be fine after you highlight it.

Yes. Highlights use either bleach or peroxide. Both of these cause permanant damage to your hair. As long as you do not bleach your roots, your hair will not fall out and the new hair will be completely uneffected. Your hair will only fall out if whoever does it has no idea what they are doing and leaves the bleach in WAY too long. Both bleach and peroxide dry out your hair, but with good hair products, you can repair most of the damage.

Dying it does make it fall out a bit more than usual but nothing drastic. If you use a lot of bleach or highlift dyes you could really damage your hair & then it will just break off. & if you use other chemical services like a perm you could actually melt the hair off. S long as you let a professional deal with your hair you should be set, they'll know how to analize your hair better.

your hair can be damaged and fall out if you do it too much. but some highlights every six weeks or so isnt bad. yes your hair is a little drier at first, but after a few days and good shampooing its back to normal.

highlights are not bad for your hair, the only time your hair will fall out or break is if you leave the bleach on for to long

it might destroy your hair with the scrunchie.why do no longer you attempt to apply a putting lotion on your hair and in simple terms spray it on each night once you wash it and wrap it around .it's going to make your hair silky and right now yet use a silky hair wrap

As long as you don't have any perm, or other chemicals(or too many) in your hair already, it shouldn't do anything. My suggestion is if your inexperienced get a professional to do it, they do a great job.

my answer is short and sweet and to the point. yes, any chemical applied to your hair is not good,. thats why children have beautiful hair. but does that stop us from wanting our hair to look great ? the answer is No.
