Just keep trying. Mine wouldn't take a bottle for a long time, and all of a sudden one day he loved it. Just try try try.
Edit: Try the Avent bottles. They seem to be shaped more like an actual nipple.

Some babies will have nothing to do with it. I breastfed my baby and the baby sitter fed him my breast milk in a bottle while I was at work until he has 5 months old. Then he refused the bottle. Another baby in the Day Care did the samething too. They had to be spoonfed the milk with some cereal for a few months. I started him on a sippy cup very early and he took the milk that way. Good luck.

My little god daughter was the same way. My best friend and I kept pushing her to take the bottle, but she just downright refused. After we stopped pushing her she found one of cousins bottles while she was crawling around and just started drinking the formula from the bottle. So my suggestion would be to just stop trying for a while. If you would like you can even leavea bottle of juice or something laying aroundand is she is thirsty enough she may just take it. Or you can try a sippy cup too. Good luck.

You might try different types of nipples. Some of them are smooth plastic and others are more rubbery. Babies often have a preference for ones that feel more like the breast.
One of my children also did not like a bottle, and we didn't try to make him take it. He was a good size and weight, was breast fed, able to eat from a spoon at about 5-6 months, and drank from his sippy cup when he was about 12 months.
He thrived and was very healthy, is now 24 years old, 5'9", 150 lbs, married and working on making his own baby some day. LOL
Don't fret too much about it.

Have someone else offer it instead of you. She's smart.....if you offer it she'd rather have it fresh from the tap. :-)
Try a soft spout sippy cup instead of a bottle. (Avent makes a good one.)
Try the milk at different temperatures. (Cold from the fridge....just barely take the chill off....warmed to body temp.)
If you really need a way to get liquid in her while you are apart, you could also try "breastmilk popsicles."
If she is 10 mos and has NEVER taken a bottle, you may not get her to take one. The sippy cup or a Rubbermaid "juice box" type bottle with a straw in it could work well.

I am currently trying to get my 13 month old to start trying whole milk. She refuses.
The only way I can 'trick her' into taking it is to give it to her when she is being rocked to sleep, and 'almost out'. Then she is oblivious. I put the bottle it in her mouth and she drinks it no problem. I figure eventually she will gain a liking for it.
Maybe try that. When you are nursing her to sleep, and she is almost sleeping, switch out the breast for the bottle. She will probably take it, not knowingly.
Good luck!

Don't. As long as he is eating good and can drink from a cup then he will be fine. My son quit taking a bottle at about this age and it saved me from having to break him from it when he got older. Funny isn't it we spend time making them do something only to tell them not to in a few more months, no wonder babies look at us like we are nuts!

At 10 months feeding formulation often provides them what they decide for. The cereal and different stuff purely gets them used to texture and fills them up so as that they stay finished longer. He won't be waiting for thicker stuff. provide him time attempt as quickly as a week or each and every 2 weeks till it stops. is likewise he dropping weight or gaining. How is his colour. what's his character. those are issues the dr additionally seems at. If he's sickly and dropping weight then complication. If he's sassy and happy then he isnt waiting and relaxing could assist you to. in case you're somewhat apprehensive verify together with his dr lower back approximately reflux or if his dr doesnt provide you an answer you're happy with get yet another opinion. yet remember each and each baby is different and cant be whilst in comparison with a different. whilst he's waiting he will in all likelihood consume you out of residing house and residing house. you experience there is a few thing incorrect whilst the dr says is effective so an answer right here won't fulfill you. Have him checked for tummy concern and esophogeal concern. direction that's greater stressful to him than purely waiting that's greater stressful to you. for my area I wouldnt complication too lots till he's a year previous. My young ones (the two one among them) are on WIC. that's a central authority backed nutricien software. they provide you what toddler desires and do loose verify united statesto confirm they're progressing usually to boot with the aid of fact the popular dr visits they get. in accordance to WIC officers formulation exchange into effective for the 1st year then with a steady including of cereal till they have been 300 and sixty 5 days then weaned to sippy cup and juice and finished milk.

hmmm...since she is 10 months old, it might be worth your while to try sippy cups. some of the new ones are really cute and she may find the designs on them more interesting than she does a bottle. Good luck
