"Paganism" is actually a blanket term for a group of religions and personal spiritual paths. They span the spectrum from witchcraft religions like Wicca and Feri to reconstructionist religions like Hellenismos and Asatru. And while some of these religions and paths revere nature and the moon, many do not. Feel free to check out some of the links below to learn more about the different pagan religions out there.
As for how one becomes pagan, it's a personal decision. Anybody can call themselves pagan, but depending on who you speak to, you may be asked to explain why you chose to label yourself as such (definitions of "pagan" vary quite a bit). One of the best ways to search for a new religion or spiritual path is to begin by creating a list. Writing down what you believe and what's important for you to have in a faith can help clarify what you're looking for when you research different religions and groups.
Please also note that while claiming oneself as pagan is a simple as declaring so, that can't be said for many of the specific religions and traditions. Quite a few require initiation or for a person's beliefs and practices to match up with the religion/tradition's core components before they would be accepted as part of that group.

You honestly can have respect for nature and all the animals that run about..swim through the waters..or fly through the heavens.. You can marvel at all the planets..
without becoming pagan. Honest. I walked the way of the Witch.. which, during the years, became Wicca.. etc.
Read everything you can on St Francis of Asissi ..
Mother Theresa..
Pope John Paul..
Then, pick up the cross and follow Jesus Christ.
Try reading Truth about Witchcraft by Scott Cunningham.. He was an honest author.. he wasn't into writing books for money, but to share the ways he followed. Once he died, his works were taken over by friends, and somethings have been rewritten, sadly.
If you're going to read more books on the subject, please, be very mindful that most of what you read is pure BS..mixed with things to entice you, not educate you. For that, you will need an elder.. one who is not full of self. Try susunweed.com - AFTER you have read the book I suggested by Scott Cunningham, please..
Not all those that follow the way of the Witch/Wicca.. hold any form of respect in their hearts.. kept kind to your heart what you learn..and who you learn things from.
Blessed Be..
By the way, I am now Christian.. I follow the one true God..

Do an Internet search under paganism. You might want to also try wicca and/or witchcraft. I am a Pagan and consider it a wonderful, magical and natural way of life.
Good luck in your interest in paganism.

You don't need to "do" anything to "become" one. It sounds to me like you already are one. But I suggest you read some books. Books I suggest are "Wicca for the solitary practitioner" and Living Wicca" By Scott Cunningham. Actually , anything by him or Gerina Dunwich, or Raymond Buckland or study up on Gerald Gardener. Also read the Satanic Bible. Don't be scared by the dogma of others. You will naturally fall into the path that's right for you. But you've got to read, read, read! Good luck!
Any questions, just email me! : )
Yes, Witchvox.com is an excellent resource

Then you already are one. There's no catechism, baptism, or secret handshake. If you like what you read about paganism, then that's it. Congrats, merry meet and welcome to the club.
If you decide you want to join a group, wait a year or two, read a lot more, go to some open sabbat rituals, talk to A LOT of people. Every group (coven, grove, circle, or whatever else they call themselves) is different, with their own Gods and Goddesses, rituals, rites of passage... Check out the following for more info in your area.

Paganism isn't a belief system. A pagan is simply an irreligious person. Perhaps, you meant a Pantheist where God is seen everywhere in nature.

Paganism is not a religion in itself. It's a belief system that encompasses many religions. Read more here:

go to a book store, look thru the spirituality/religion section, note the names of books you are interested in and check to see if your local library carries them. Internet research, check out your local ad paper for finding possible meeting places.
