You were reported. Someone with Chinese relatives were offended. It happens. Blow it off. Many people don't like the truth.

Political correctness is very much a part of society - not just on yahoo answers. People are easily offended. It is not what you say but how you say it. You most likely had your response worded in a way that offended someone of Chinese extraction. In the future I suggest sugar coating your messages. You would have been better off stressing that you loved Chinese people in the begining. You could mention that it is just the way that China happened to be run that made you think that it was the worst you ever visited, but that you love the way China has made so many historical contributions.
And I would definately protest being censored.
There are some posts on yahoo answers that are very rude. I am amazed that they are allowed to stay. I can't understand why some of these posts are allowed to stay yet they delete you for answering a question honestly. But that is political correctness for you.

My husband works with a man who visits China a few times a year, and what you're saying seems to be true.
Also, China has been in the news recently for killing (by beating to death) around 50,000 dogs because a few people contracted rabies, and a couple people have died. http://www.peta.org.
Even though we may not agree with or understand other cultures, they do exist; it's a fact of life. Just by pointing out that they do things the way they do, is not inciting violence or hatred. It is just stating the facts.
If they ban us from discussing this, they are violating our First Amendment Rights. Things are different here than they are in China, or Japan, or Lebanon, or in Texas or Iowa. Having a rational discussion or even a debate, it totally acceptable. So long as everyone treats each other with due respect, and as long as they respect the soil on which they walk.

You cannot tell the untiltered truth on many Internet sites, because the politically correct establishment will censor you and override what normally would constitute Freedom of Speech. Of course, they have a right to do what they want because they're running the show.
It's nice to start your own blog about certain things and then you can run the show.

Maybe you phrased it in a negative fashion. Obviously someone took offense. Maybe next time you should try to point out some positives too. If you look around at people's posts, their are a lot of bigots out there. I report people all the time. Not that you didnt have valid points in your statement, but just try and be a little more sensitive towards people of different cultures.

speaking the truth always hurts someone, its the price of free speach.
You told the truth to what you saw, I suggest that next you give answer word it slightly differently, for example "I didn't like china because this is what I saw when I travelled there, but as for chinese people etc etc" then that way you express both your opinions
but continue to believe in free speach and practise it, Good Luck

People get so pissy don't they? Don't blame Yahoo. I think what happens is when one person reports another person Yahoo automatically sends a warning. People are just too damned sensative and insecure. Don't worry about the warning. If Yahoo deletes your account all you have to do is create a new one.

I don't think yahoo should have given you a violation for that, you were merely observing what you saw and your disgust. I would be disgusted too. It's a shame we can't voice our opinions on here without the fear of being censored.

It seems very odd that you were criticized since people are constantly bashing the US and Mexico and it appears that this kind of talk is OK with the powers that be. Maybe your feelings about the brutality was overstated. Protest.
