A lot of people think that they can drive safely at speeds well above the limit until the moment they realize that they have lost control. Those that survive sometimes adjust their driving technique.

It starts to get too slow after a while. I usually do 10 or 20 over. However, if the pack of cars is going faster, I'll generally go faster to keep up. There's a theory that it's more dangerous to drive slower than the pack than it is with it. What I'm trying to get at is constantly adapt to the speed as your driving. Speed limits are nothing but signs. When there're a bunch of people going faster than you, you should keep up to avoid being hit from behind.

Becasue they are ignorant animals.

I asked a similar question when I was doing ten miles over the limit to keep up with the jerks on the road.

Most answers were that I'm too slow.

Well, look at all the vehicles crashing all the time, doesn't that say something?

When New Jersey increased the limit by 5 miles, the statistics show that increased deaths by 26%.

Because as humans we like to push the limit. Now if you meant people who drive too slowly, who knows?? However, nothing annoys me more than to be going my usual 65-69, have someone pull out in front of me, and go 15 miles BELOW the speed limit.

because they think they're above the law. there's one street near my house that has 35 as the limit, but most people go around 55. I make sure to go exactly the speed limit to piss off people behind me, even though they should realize that I'm going the speed limit. It's a residential area!! it also wastes gas

Because the speed limit is too damned slow. They set it up that way on purpose, so that the highway cops can pull over anybody they want, for any reason they want; everybody's speeding!

Do you mean the people who go slower? I have no idea. I think they must think that some clown just threw the signs up without any prior safey testing and research. I always say if they're too scared to drive, they shouldn't be on the road!

Why? Why not? If they even notice they are speeding they figure the odds are that someone else will get pulled over.
