A lot of Americans think that Arabs nations are terrorists, because that's what they see, hear, or read. What they see, hear, or read come from radios, televisions, and newspapers.... Who controls radios, televisions, and newspapers??? I think most know the answer already! That is why Americans think the way they do. If you're not sure, do more research and find out; it is after all, public information, readily available.
If someone keeps telling you that black is white and white is black, long enough; you will one day believe in it, eventhough it is totally wrong, in reality. A lot of times though, they don't even have to lie to you. By simply changing the way they tell a story, you can be made to lean one way or another. One example: Hezbollah fires hundreds of missiles into Haifa (Israel), prompting a harsh response from the IDF. This is information devoid of contexts, they should have said "Hezbollah fired missiles after Israel invaded Lebanon." Another method that I see a lot in the media is to remove the cause and effect, to make Arabs' actions seemed unintelligent, irrational, maniac. A typical story in the Gaza could read "The IDF (Israeli Defence Force) fired back killing a man, during a violent Palestinian protest." Any person reading it would automatically feel that the IDF was acting in self defence, in the face of fanatical Palestinians. What they usually leave out is the context explaining the cause and effect... The context is that Israel has, for a long time, and is still continuing to build illegal colonies on Arab lands, namely Gaza, and West Bank. The Israeli army would come in and bulldoze their homes, often killing whoever opposing them, and subsequently build jewish homes on that very land. Over time, they will link up all those colonies with roads that only Israelis are allowed to go on. They put check points everywhere so that Arabs cannot prosper, cannot move freely, cannot have access to their natural resources, cannot go to their farm lands, cannot work, you get the idea. In time, they die a slow death. If you think that the contexts above are just rare occurences, do some reading and you will see that they are part of a plan to take lands from the Arabs, thus fuelling their hated towards Israel. Illegal colonies are peppered all over Palestinian lands, like mushrooms, linked together by roads that cut through Arab neighbourhoods... This is "divide and conquer" strategy that never gets mentioned, because it rallies sympathy for the Arabs. It exposes the real causes of the Middle East conflicts.

Haven't you heard what the leader of Iran has said, he wants to wipe Israel of the face of the earth, the guy is nuts he is Hitler incarnate, and most American do not think all Arabs are terrorists, it is just they all come from their, and the nut cases are always quoting the Koran, and the Muslims that say they are not like that never stand up against the people that have taken over their religion. You never see Muslims protesting against or marching against those people, they can do it in the US but they don't. Because even here in their Mosques they teach against the Us and the people they believe are infidels. Israel is such a small piece of land and the Arab countries have so much land, why can't they help the Palestinians with more land, they actually belong in Jordan, If the leader of Iran gets nukes and sends one to Israel he will also be killing thousands of his own people, because the fall out will blow toward the Palestinians and Jordan, and he is crazy enough to use it. That is why they can not have nukes.

Lets take one question at a time. Would you like a dirty bomb set off in America? Iran has a very un-stable government the Ruler right now is responsible for the death of 241 marines and 58 French soldiers in 1983. OK Syria, backs the Hezbollah that's the people who killed the soldiers in Bruit and blew up the embassy in Africa. These people are will to walk into a crowd of people and explode a bomb killing themselves. Is that rational? As far as Israel I will not get into the religion part but their are no PLO just Egyptian people. Look at the deal IN 1947 about a King being assented and who did it. Then you will understand the Middle East as of today.

Is there a real question here?
Just in case you didn't notice, the dude in charge of Iran walked in and took over. He also does not hide the fact that he is a crazy terrorist.
Also, America and Israel are not the only countries that are against Iran having nukes. There are plenty of Arab countries that have voiced that same opinion.
When you get your facts straight, come back and ask a real question.
LindaLou - Since you know so much. Could you enlighten the rest of us? As I see, a patter to their history and a religious book that incites violence. So if you know different, please inform us.

Its like asking why it's OK for dad to have a razor and his 3 yr old son cannot.
If Iran or some other unstable group gets nukes, they WILL use them. against Israel and us. Even the Arab countries fear them having the weapons. (Reminder: Iranians are not Arab, they are PERSIANS)
Most countries in the Nuke club have elaborate protections in place so that they are not the personal property of the current head of state. Iran's current leader was in on the Hostage crisis, and considers the destruction of Israel and the death of all its inhabitants, national policy.
Do you want them to have a bomb?

The West in general has very little knowledge about Arab nations. All they really see are news reports about all these Middle Eastern countries in constant war and conflict which lends itself to the uninformed conclusion that they are all terrorists, Arab or not. The stories are so prevalent that it is easy to stop listening to them at all since it does not seem to personally affect their daily lives in a direct way. The prevailing attitude seems to be that it's just another war in the Middle East, as always.

It breaks my heart that some American think that all Muslims are terrorists, or all Iraqi's or any middle eastern being is against The U.S. I believe this war is, yes bad timing, and sometimes I wish we were never in it. Though, I also believe that we are helping people who want our help, or honestly I don't think we'd be over there. Were helping the same Middle Eastern people that us Americans generalize as a terrorist. not all Arab Nations are terrorists, but I can understand why you think that.

I think it has a lot to due with 9-11 and I do not think that the US thinks it is not ok for others to defend themselves..but it started supposubly because some nations were not copperating with the UN in checking the weapons...but heck I do not know I hate this whole thing it all seems to suck to me.

It's not OK that Iran develop a nuclear arsenal. It's not OK that the US develop a nuclear arsenal. It's not OK that Israel develop a nuclear arsenal. It's not OK that... not even Burundi should be allowed to do that.
And you're right. Any country should defend itself, which means that no country should threaten the other. Iran's goal is to blot Israel out of the map. Scary. No good. Israel goal's shouldn't be to blot Iran out of the map.

The governments of the United States and Israel are not controlled by people who want to kill anyone and everyone who does not share their faith.
It's not Arabs who many Americans distrust, it's the Wahabists, the radicalized Muslims. We don't trust that nut job running Iran either, and he's Persian.
