I don't know about an R32 Skyline but to buy a car in Canada you must show that it conforms to our emission standards. The information is normally located by the radiator when you open the hood. You must stop at Customs, fill out the paperwork handed to you and pay a duty fee. The paperwork allows you to A. enter the states and B. register it. Customs is pretty helpful. It wouldn't hurt to call a local office and ask your question especially about a vehicle never made in the U.S.

Take all the Skyline stuff off of it and register it as something else. If mexi-cans can walk across the border and ask for free education, welfare and healthcare you should be able to have the car you want. Where theres a will theres a way.

Certainly, you can drive one in the USA, but you may have problems getting it licensed and titled here because it does not meet the USA standards for safety and emissions. Some states are easier than others... Don't even think about bringing it into California.
Best to check with your local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for the requirements to import and license a car locally.

I know that it is possible for a US car to come North of the boarder. It's getting it across that is the pain. You have to pay a Boarder Broker to clear it. Going south with most stuff that has to be done in advance. They basically make it legal for you to bring the vehicle across. After that I would check with your State DMV to see if it needs to be certified. I would guess that it probably would.

i'm guessing you asserting "legally import" potential getting the R34 to be highway criminal. if so, the US does not enable for highway legalization of the R32 or R34s anymore. we are in a position to nonetheless import it for the track and any Skyline that has already been registered continues to be criminal. element of explanation why they stopped legalizing gray marketplace vehicles like the Skylines is using the fact Motorex shortcutted their thank you to legalization of many of their Skylines.
