As a geology major I am obligated to tell you that fossil fuels are non-renewable and, as such, we have a finite supply. So, yes, we could run out.

That being said, it's foolish to think people will just not use cars anymore. As oil supplies run down, the demand for alternative fuel sources will rise. As such, things like electric cars will be manufactured (and improved upon), thus replacing the gas-powered auto.

Most experts say about 30 yrs. How old does that make u. I am 76 yrs. old and was in Tokyo during the Korean thing. One of the taxi es I caught had to stop and go to the back of the car to put some more char co to pressure up the boiler to make steam and they modified a motor and the timing chain so it performed as a steam engine. U got a challenge before u , get after it my grand children may need it.

The end of the oil age is not a question of if, but when. Get used to the idea of walking in your old age, because gas won't be available at a price most people can afford.

No. There is plenty of oil. The only question is how much will it cost to get it out of the ground (how deep do we go and where can we drill), refine it, transport it, market it, etc. At some point, the price will get high enough for people to develop and market alternative fuels and power sources which will slow the demand for oil.

Yep, gas'll run out real soon; within this lifetime I hear. So why don't you stop thinking about your own little useless activities and stop driving around for hours on end for the rest of us, huh?
