Our 2 cats like to nibble in the puppys dish. I was just wondering if that's good for them.

no its bad for them. i heard that cats lose their vision over time if they eat enough dog food. i saw it on the news. i wouldnt even let them nibble on the dog food just to be safe. they might get too used to it and get stubborn and want to only eat dog food.

our cat liked to do that do at first. until we found out from our vet that it was not ok for the cat to do that. and visa versa. The dog like to eat out of the cat food. Either way its not good for them. Because the food do not have the nutrients each cat/dog needs for them. Your Vet should be able to tell you your answers that you have for them in your next visit. As long as they're eating good quality cat food made for their age/phase of life, puppy food as a treat should be fine as long as you're not noticing any adverse reactions.
Make sure they don't get into any gravies or sauces or anything with onion, though! That's very very bad for kitties!

Cats should never eat dog food, but dogs can eat cat food.

It's okay to let them nibble occasionally. However, it shouldn't be their regular diet as cats require more protein than dogs do....protein which dog food doesn't have.

no, the only food that cats should eat is cat food. Dog food is supposed to be bad for them... so try to keep your kitty from eating the dogs food.

Yes. Doesn't contain the extra nutrients that cats need ( you will find those in cat treats/food), but, is of NO problem with the cat or its health.

Of course.. there is NOTHING wrong with cats eating dog food IF THEY LIKE it.. My cat does not like dog food but I have had cats in the past when they eat the dog food.. NOTHING WRONG WITH IT>>>>

It won't hurt them as long as that is not their only means of nutrition. A cat needs catfood for an essential mineral called taurine found in catfood. A cat that does not get taurine will go blind.
