Because they want an advantage over others.. i think they feel inadequate with themselves.. but sometimes cheating is just like getting something extra for nothing.. it sounds like a good deal..but its really a deeply bad pyschological problem.

people cheat for different reasons, you're asking too many broad questions, the person who cheats on exam may not cheat on his wife, and so on......

everyone wants to "get over". They feel better about themselves. They feel they are being cheated all the time out of things they cannot control so why not "get over"?
