Depends on how old they are and how set in their ways they have become. Here is something that surprisingly worked for me. I brought a cat home 2 weeks ago as I'm watching him for a friend of mine. One of my cats would stalk off growling and hissing all the time... leaving them in close quarters together was a gamble but a good one because now they are laying side by side cleaning each other and chasing each other around the room.... I don't know what it is but when they have to live in a section of the home together unable to roam it completely free they pair up and become friends I guess to endure it lol.. I'm not sure. Here is something else that may work... don't show your first cat any less love.. I show them all an abundance of attention so they won't feel like the other pet is taking over or they are being replaced and that also worked wonders because I also have a female cat that went to war with the new visitor... she made it known right off the back that "this is my territory and I will kick your a$$ if you think otherwise". I noticed that she started sulking alot and hissing a lot more... then I showed her more attention always including her in everything.. would you believe this same cat now actually runs and plays and will walk right up to him and sniff him, even sleep next to him.... imagine my shock. Sad thing though is he is going back to his own home tomorrow. So try them in a room together for a day or two so they are sort of forced to interact... acutally this should go on for more than just 2 days.. they will eventually get acclimated to eachother... ohhhhhhhh and if they are not neutered that may be your other problem.... they each are trying to be top dog sort of speak and are territorial... if this is the case consider taking them to the vet to have that taken cared of. Best of luck to you.

It is most likely a territorial issue, make sure each of them have their own of literally EVERYTHING...also to try and speed up the process of them getting to "like" eachother you should "mix their scents" so to speak..i read somewhere that if you pet kitty A all over and get the scent on you really good and then immediately rub all over kitty B and vise versa for a few times and then let them smell eachother they will soon "agree" that it is ok to get along...also one kitty should be in one room and the other in another room...if they are close by that is better that way they can smell eachother through the cracks under the door and get accustomed to their smells....hope this works good luck ;-)

i think it will be kind of hard. male cats don't really get along that well. i found that out a while ago. maybe you could keep them separate for a while and slowly take them to each other and let them check each other out. and i am not sure it will work out. i had to get rid of one of my male cats and get a female. unless the 2 male cats were raised together than it probably will not work out but i hope my suggestion will help!

good luck!

Sometimes it just takes time... I had 2 males and it took 3 weeks for them to not wanna kill each other.. and 1 yr later I would find them sleeping all snuggled up...

give them their space and dont force them to get along they'll just need to learn to live together
