I have found many statements here from atheists excluding Christians from science, and I think is absurd. Atheists want to take over Science like they were octopuses or jealous children, since Christians have their religion, and they need to hold on into something, and is turning into a cult where their prophets are Charles Darwin, Pasteur and other scientists.

Then they say the Christians aren't capable of being scientists and contribute to science and society, when there are millions and millions of Christians that are scientists that have contributed in many branches of science like
Physics,Chemistry,Astronomy,Geology,Oceanography,Paleontology,Meteorology,Botany,Zoology, Genetics ,Medicine, and many many more.

I know that there is no university that doesn't admit Christians for being Christians and don't let them be scientists and contribute to society. I have known brilliant Christians very talented in science and good professionals also that all they care about is contribut

e to society.
I myself am a Christian who is a biology student and aspires to go to graduate school and I am doing excellent in my science and biology classes. Why people saying that we aren't capable of succeed in science?

I also don't deny evolution. I find certain theories logical like the natural selection theory but I don't believe I came from a monkey nor the Big Bang Theory. And certain theories don't seem logical for me to apply to humans, the explanations are limited.

But what do you want? Clone people? Challenge God?

MANY CHRISTIANS HAVEN'T LOST THEIR FAITH. THAT'S ABSURD. I HAVEN'T AND NEVER WILL.

Tom I agree with you. Many scientific theories are still theories not facts.

There are LOTS of Christians doing scientific research, even in evolution. Jesus is TRUTH... and does not preclude you from studying any science. The problem comes from people coloring their judgement with their beliefs... for instance, when you look at two similar mammals... did one develop from the other? or.. were they created seperately?... and... does it really matter?...

people want to compare similarities for evolution... but consider this... almost ALL creatures on this earth larger than a marble have a head and a mouth... eyes.... how much common DNA do they have? and... does common dna make one a decendant of the other?

The people I have trouble with are those who talk as if Evolution were a FACT... it is still a theory... but many so called scientists will teach it in school as if it were fact... and their students walk out of class thinking that it IS fact... when it is still just theory... and not really all that good of a theory in my Creationist opinion.

Well for one, if you follow "beliefs" instead of the data, you will make a poor scientist and have a very short career (in science at least, you can still be profitable to some religious tv station as a former science "expert"... but I digress...).

However, many christians are great scientists. No real scientist wants to "exclude" xtians. But there are christians, ones who will never be or aspire to be scientists, that try to refute scientific findings and facts based on nothing more than their so-called faith. It is those people who are dangerous to society as a whole, for they turn a blind eye to the obvious and not-so-obvious facts.

P.S. there is an international ban on cloning a human being. Please study your biology more to find out about what "cloning" is being used for today. Doctors "play god" everyday. People used to die from pneumonia and broken bones. The progress in science helps people. Maybe next time you get an infection or break something, or need your appendix taken out, you'd rather put your faith in God instead of going to a doctor. There are religions that believe that, and maybe that is right for you. As far as I'm concerned, that is insane.

True...very true. As a Christian, I find that the more scientific stuff I learn, the MORE I want to praise God because the way everything works together is just so amazing. How can scientists see all this stuff and possibly think it all JUST HAPPENED???? Okay so I don't have any initials behind my name, but I don't consider myself ignorant about science either.
I also agree that atheists all seem to worship science, and their prophets. : )

Many christians have contributed to science. However a far greater number have stood in the way of scientific progress.

It is interesting that the two theories that you mentioned that you do not accept are misaligned with your christian beliefs. I.e. the basis for your rejection is purely theological and not factual.

Just because someone is one religion or another does not mean s/he does not have a brain!

I know many scientists who are practitioners of one faith or another, myself included. Science is not a "thing", it is a way of looking at the world and describing what you see. How is this prevented if you are religious? Buddhism actually promotes the tenets of scientific method, for example!

If you are a Christian then you should understand the spiritual battle going on. Eph 6 says we will battle against principalities which is what you are talking about in your question.
When you choose to be a Christian, you also choose to do battle with these things and subject yourself to ridicule, social outcasting and possibly death in the not too distant future just for believing in God.
Do you forget about the scriptures that say the world is your enemy and they will mock you for believing in God?
Do you forget that Jesus did no sin and was crucified for His beliefs?
You are experiencing social crucifixion. Rejoice and be glad and count it glory that you are being persecuted for believing in God. God rewards those who deal with such things.

As a scientist, you would really enjoy these audio files by Christian scientists. I love them.
