Religious dogma has produced mostly death and misery throughout history. Its a fact!

Comparatively,
Science(meaning knowlege;from scienter, to know.) has freed much of mankind from the vicissitudes of nature. Modern, western democratic governments all derive from the science of the ancient Greeks and the refinements of the Enlightenment---consent of the governed instead of rule by divine right .

Yes, science has created weapons, but the use of those weapons was/is in the name of religion. ASK LEBANON!

Hence, why believe in gods?

I agree.

Faith is the nemesis of logic.
Faith is the destroyer of science and progress.
Faith is the slaughterer of freedom.
Faith is the destructor of individuality.
Faith is the fountainhead of ignorance.
Faith is the procreator of intolerance.

Science, the search for knowlege is a noble quest, but what becomes of science without a moral baseline or a line in the sand. Religion provides a basis for right, and wrong. Pure science would say the pursuit of knowledge justifies the means. Do you experiment on humans in the persuit of knowledge? Religion/Christianity is a means of accountability for your actions regardless if the ends justify the means. As a scientist myself, I have found that science proves God. I believe that the persuit of knowledge is the point of our existance here. Many of the current theories/ hypothoses require more faith than the acknowledgement of something greater than yourself. Go ahead and bury yourself in test tubes, field studies, raw data. In the end the large amount of incomputable data will all lead to God.
I have found that the more I learn the less I know.
God bless

I believe that we need both science and relgion. as well as the arts, literature, etc. This is what makes humans civilized> All of these are important aspects of society> All of these traits have their good and bad consequences> Are brains are "wired" for God, therefore God is an important part of people's lives. God gives us hope, purpose, and a better understanding of "why we are here"> Science on the ohter hand helps us discover our natural world so we could use the knowledge to help us prosper> peace.

Science will continue to explain 'unexplainable' God.

Jesus said that you couldn't make just laws using ancient texts. The same applies today.

I agree. Without science, we wouldn't have the medical knowledge that we do now.
