Someone with the same name as mine filed for bankruptcy and his creditors think it is me and asking me for money that this other guys owes them.

you dont need to find out if he did file...
tell those creditors you're not that person. and tell them to piss off. if this person with the same name did file for bankruptcy, they could not be calling to start with. again. tell them to piss off..
tell them you're recording the phone call, and reporting them to the FTC.

Check public records in your state/province. They list all bankruptsies.
