Have you ever seen what a green or yellow grape looks like when it has been COMPLETELY dehydrated? (And, I mean completely, I'm not talking about raisin-form dehydration.) Well, grape nuts look (and feel) somewhat similar to that. About the nuts, I'm not exactly sure, the flavor is a bit on the nutty side I think. Agree?

Yeah, and if a cereal is invented with just grapes and nuts, what the hell would it be called? Marbled Cashews?

Ah...grasshopper...This has been a mystery to us all and the answer is...It is a riddle...it is THE RIDDLE to keep you busy while you read the back of the cereal box & chew that which feels like gravel and is hard to digest but keeps you feeling full all the way til lunch.
On a serious note...it's good stuff...esp. in the winter time...heat it up in the microwave and add in a little honey & a pat of butter...

They were named "Grape-Nuts" because they contain maltose, which was known at that time as "grape sugar," and they have a "nutty" flavor.
Duller than you hoped, huh?

someone called you grasshopper which bugs the hell outta me... anyway, grape nuts are in fact made from grape seeds but nobody would buy them if they called them that... it is sort of like soy milk... well since the soybean doesn't have a tit we know it isn't really soy milk... but who would buy soy juice...
