Just the other day I was watching outrageous weddings on TV- i saw this woman who got married in the ice castle (i think in Sweden? or somewhere over there). Anyways, she wore this gorgeous white outfit with a mink. The outfit was a white pantsuit She had on one of those fur hats and she was absolutely beautiful!

If you don't want to go with the muff route, you can always get a traditional cape. Its elegant, unique and will keep you nice and warm. Shawls are also another idea if you don't like the cape idea. As for the dress, I would wear one with a modest neckline with long sleeves or gloves.
Good luck and stay warm.

try wering a thin long john under gowns you try on. Make sure it has long sleeves and I would suggest not getting a train but yes to a floor length gown. also, yuo can get a fake fur muff for your hands and a capelet and matching hat. I think it makes for an "exotic" looking wedding and your husband will have fun peeling off all the layers! Wear long gloves with the hand muff and make sure they are the type that your ring finger can come out easily.

My sister is a wedding planner and she did a wedding once in montana over christmas. It was freezing. The bride wore a long sleeve dress and it had this really pretty, and warm, matching little jacket that went over it. I thought she looked beautiful.

Davids bridal has the most beautiful bridal capes. It can go over almost any gown and will keep you very warm. Another idea is there are a few companies out there that make bridal jackets.
Here are a few ideas for you.
Congrats on your upcoming wedding.

Take it to a tailor/ ameliorations man or woman and ask them what they are able to and can't do and for the way plenty. it could't be accessible to make each and all of the variations you have the desire to make to the gown and it is impossible to examine the fabric. Plus ameliorations take a protracted time and if it does not come out as you envision it, there could not be time to discover yet another gown. Why not have an engagement occasion and positioned on the gown with in basic terms minor ameliorations to extra healthful your physique? you ought to upload some classic upload-ons and positioned on a cool jacket/sweater to disguise the sleeves. it can be a brilliant thank you to honor your grandmother. Do you have a photograph of your grandmother in the gown? if so, reveal it on the occasion and ensure you're taking loads of photos of your self in the gown. once you're traumatic approximately determining to purchase a gown, examine around....there are places which will lease you a marriage gown .

There are really great white capes to go over your dress at DavidsBridal and they have matching hand muffs (the cylender shaped fur things that keep both hands free and warm) they look great and save money on flowers if all bridesmaids wear them...

A velvet dress, I've seen some brides wear capes, muffs, ect. I'd personally just do a velvet cape over my gown. But that's me. :P
