I'm not real sure, but the room seems to clear very quickly.

Go to a movie. It will get your mind off of whatever it is that upset you. You may be mad for the first 30 minutes of the movie, but as long as you go see a good movie...the story will eventually take over your mind for a while and things won't seem so bad when the movie is over. It may sound weak but it sure beats the crap out of doing something you may regret later. Angry thinking is a one way ticket to trouble - that's when people get arrested or hurt or even worse. You must calm down before deciding to do anything.

I continue to behave as I normally would until I am finished being mad...then I just do like I've been but without being mad anymore.

Growing up, my Dad made me beat my fists on my bed until I felt better. Said it got the frustration out but didn't hurt anyone. Still helps today. After that, I quietly count to 10 before I go back to what I was doing, just to be sure I've calmed down.

Swear.....which is very out of character for me.
Not to mention, I swear a lot when I am mad, because I usually cannot think of anything intelligent to say at the moment.

I tend to walk away, especially in an argument with someone, because i would hate to say something that i wouldn't mean. After i cool down, return to reason with the person. you don't want to ever regret acting on impulses. .

It makes me want to hide, yell and scream, and drink all at the same time. But I end up not doing any of those and I start to cry...
