It is a large dish with a bottle attache to the dish. I think that he is trying to impress the female with his strength.

LOL...does the food you give him have any derivative of a steroid in it?

Nah, he's just playing with the bowl. I had a cat though which would push the dish around if it was empty. He was letting me know he was thirsty and I had better get my butt up and put some water in there. He would do the same with his food dish if I had gotten busy with something and neglected to put feed in there. He was a pretty smart cat and often suprised me by doing things like turning on the light if he wanted it on or hooking his little paw around a door handle and turning it till it opened so he could have access to every room in the house. I named him Turdy Cat. I wish I still had him and really miss that little guy sometimes, but I lost him when I was getting out of the Katrina disaster area.

I have a cat that does the same thing. I think maybe he is just playing with his water bottle or trying to figure out what is inside the water bottle.

he's just a kitten, he likes to play. that's what kittens do. he's not trying to impress anyone at all. my 5 month old kitten pushes his food dish all over the kitchen everyday. if you don't like him doing it or he's spilling water everywhere then buy him some toys to play with. kittens need toys, toys, toys!!!! oh, and when he's old enough please get him neutered!!!!

No I think he is bored. Either that or he can't get at the water properly. Get him some toys and make sure the dish is properly fixed down.

I think that he is just bored. Kittens love to play....and they are SO much fun to watch! I've only had outside cats, though, so I'm not sure what type of toy would occupy his attention.

He pushes it over because he can! Try a smaller bowl or one that can't be tipped over.
