backwards handwriting sign of devil?

My mom's boyfriend is uber religous (and I thought I was in touch with God) and he says that backwards writing is satanistic or some crap like that. Any thoughts?

He says its because the Satanic Bible is writen backwards.

No where in history of Demonology have I heard of such a thing. Backwards writing is no more a sign of the Devil than me walking backwards, while silly and shows that I am bored out of my mind, and have nothing better to do, it doesn't mean that I am a satanist or even opening any kind of doors.

You're talking about the ability to write backwards? I have never in my life heard that it is satanistic.

I don't know where your mom's boyfriend came up with that but rest assured that it is not satanist.

Hebrew is written "backwards" and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't call it Satanist.

English... it is going to be the devil's language... oh, look! devil spelled backward is lived! And look spelled backward is kool! Yeah, it is the artwork of jebus... this is subej spelled backward... they're in basic terms words (nicely, different than for jebus and subej!) that have developed over the years into the English language. each and every observe could be spelled backward... does not recommend it has a secret which ability.

It's not evil and it's not dyslexia. Some left-handed people write backwards when they learn to write. It's just something that's wired differently in the brain, and most people who write backwards eventually sort it out -- I did, although I can still write backwards easily if I feel like it.

I picked up the pencil and began to copy from the black board. I can to this day hear the nun and her words in my head. In front of the whole class she called me "spawn of the devil". I remember going home and crying to my mother of my teachers words. The next day I remember my mother going down to the princpal's office and gave her a piece of her mind. After that I wasn't harrassed... but I could tell that nun didn't like me or my being left-handed. Please be aware of what you say to a child. That is a pretty ignorant statement. Do you realize how smart and talented you have to be to write backwards? Leonardo DaVinci use to do it to hide some of his work so others couldn't see it. But not because he was satanic but because he was knowledgable. I can write with both hands ask him what that means...lol

I have found that most people who claim _______ is satanic are usually off their medication or something.

I can't find a scriptural reference relating directly to it. I can see maybe bringing it under Jesus' statement Matt 5:37 “Just let your ‘Yes’ mean ‘Yes.’ Let your ‘No’ mean ‘No.’ Anything more than this comes from the evil one." but that is a stretch. Jesus means "tell the truth and stand by it." What you describe is more of an entertainment and mental/visual exercise. It is meant to only slightly disguise the content of the message and the message itself is intended to be understood.

Hogwash. Leanardo DaVinci wrote everything backwards in his writings. He used it sort of like a code. There is nothing Satanic about writing backwards.

Your mom's boyfriend is out of touch with reality. Anything thing to the left was considered satanistic in dark times. Centuries later it was considered Communistic. I am left handed and is nothing sinister about me.
