Does Christianity provide a way for people to still feel like the center of the universe, even though we now know how insignificant Earth is in the grand scheme of the universe?

Most religions, and Christianity in particular, preach humility.

Humility is the acknowledgment that all we have and all we accomplish is God's work not ours.

This is definitely not ego-centrism.

Yes Earth is a small place. Created for a park & a garden. in got invaded by some distructive beings, before that even the thorns did not grow here. once it is renewed and I have my new Spiritual body ,I intend to explore it and every other planet in the Universe.
